My party is made up of Shadow, Light, and Wind, decently geared, 64, 65, and 64 respectively. I keep dying to the bosses, and have to use top quality potions every other round just to keep my tank alive--and even then she still oftentimes dies. I'll sometimes need to rez 7 times in a single boss fight.
This is really too hard. I'm guessing the scaling is based on the Lost Grove scaling, but the Lost Grove bosses have their abilities set up so you can avoid them if you're paying attention. As far as I can tell though, the DoT of the Festival bosses hits pets randomly and at random points in the boss's mana bar.
Please fix this! I was looking forward to leveling my pets up to 65 and beyond while exploring the Festival grounds because it's been such a horrible grind, but this is pretty much unplayable in the 60-65 bracket. I know, I know, I could just drag along some of my sub-60 pets in the festival zone, or wait until level 65 for the full team, but this level of difficulty shouldn't be the case for ANY level.

Hm, on further testing it might just be that 64-65 jump that is problematic. I'll keep poking.

Right, so my level 61 party can hold their own just fine, with the sub-optimal composition of Water-Light-Fire, no less.
Next to see what the 65's can do, once my whole party is level 65...

And a party of all 65's is doing fine too.
So it's just that sudden severe cliff caused by having one pet level 65 and the other pets level 64. The boss scales to 65, meaning the 64 pets without that extra profiency point get pwned.
Since the grind between 64 and 65 is a long one, I'd still suggest tweaking this. Maybe the 65 boss should not be quite as difficult, or the math can be tweaked to detect the average level of the party instead of going off the max level pet? Or instead of basing it off LEVEL, maybe on the average of pets' stats themselves (which may also account for lack of gear)?
Just in the Festival zones, mind you. You should still need to earn gear, levels, and learn the boss mechanics to make it far in the regular story zones.
Also, somewhat unrelated note--the gear dropped in the Festival Zone is very underpowered. It's level 65 stuff, but is worse than that dropped in the Lost Grove for level 60 pets. I wouldn't be adverse to also seeing some tweaks here, seeing as how Festivals are not year-round and so the gear should be somewhat special too.

I'm also having problems when one pet is higher level than the rest. I wish it was averaged. I don't even want to know how may res and healing potions i've used...
