Sorry if this is dumb, but how do some offspring say 0% inbred when in their lineage there are pets that are 15% or 20% or so inbred? Is there a certain distance of generations between parent and offspring that renders the percentage 0?

The system being used to calculate the inbred percentage only looks back so many generations (can't remember how many. Might be ten? Twelve? anyway...), so if there is no doubling of ancestors up to that point, the pet will show as being 0% inbred, even if there was inbreeding further back.
