When an egg becomes ready to hatch, how long do you have before it automatically hatches?

maybe a few hours or a day perhaps? probably a day, because when sylesties are 3-4 years old they're hatchlings and they have to get out of their eggs :P

24hrs from when the option to hatch them is available.
