Quick question, I have an egg in my hatchery, but apparently it is mortally wounded... what should I do? Will it still hatch? Its showing all the stats, saying that it should, but Im not so sure. Help!

What do you mean by 'mortally wounded'? It looks like a normal eggling to me?

When I was exploring, I had found an egg. I picked it up, and a bandit attacked me, causing me to drop it, and it said that the hatchling was mortally wounded. The only difference from a normal eeg that now the egg avatar has a crack in it.

The crack is a normal part of the eggling process. All egglings will get that crack when they're about a quarter of the way to being hatched. The text when getting the eggling is just flavour text. It doesn't do anything at all to the actual pet ^.^

Thank you so much! I was just curious because the other egg I got didnt have that flavor text.
