Darcia made sure that her forest stayed dark during the sunny day. she looked up at the tree tops as she though of many different things

darcia herd a slight crack. her ears jumped up as she looked in the direction of where the praire and forest meet. she stood up and jumped off her big rock and hid in the shadows making her way towards the intruder.

As the sun rose so did he, his crimson mane flowing in the slight breeze. With the growing light his power returned, rejuvenating him after the long night. The lion padded out of his thicket of a home, scaling the large tree that marked his side of the territory. With that he lay out a mighty roar, one that marked the coming of morning to all of the animals. A new day had begun. Perhaps the queen would wish to meet with him this moon, he had hinted at it for a while now yet she seemed to always refuse. Maybe now would be different.

darcia was still hiding in the shadows as she did not like intruders, but before the lioness could say another word darcia jumped out her eyes glowed in the darkness as the purple and orange markings across her body did as well.
