Does anyone know if it's okay or against rules to trade for currencies from different games?
For example, if I were to trade with someone on Sylestia, say, gold or a pet in exchange for neopoints on the Neopets game, would that be allowed?

As long as the other site allows for offsite trading, you can to a certain degree. The best place to look to be sure is the T.o.S of each site.
For Neopets specifically, I believe you are not allowed to.

Don't quote me on it, but I think you can't publicly announce on Neopets that you're giving stuff away/host a thread that specifically says you're giving stuff away?
Neopets was always weird about these things if I'm remembering right. :)
