Why would the light not go out? How did a light shine for so long like this? The man was huddled in the corner of his small room, his hands gripping at his matted and messy hair. Why would it not go off?! He couldn't sleep with it on like that! How could anyone sleep with it beaming down on them like that?! And what day was it? He had no way of telling, everything seemed to blur together in an infinite loop of getting stabbed with needles, or exposed to his greatest fears until he passed out. The doctors said he was making great progress yet he didn't feel like he was, all he was doing was being strapped to a chair until his heart felt like it would explode. Today through they didn't seem to come for him which was a tad bit disheartening. His issued uniform, like all were forced to wear, was starting to stink and he felt as if he was sitting in his own filth. He hadn't been allowed to shower or change in the time he had been here and it was honestly taking its toll. The tan and green one piece jumpsuit had his number down the left side, just like the others had theirs though now the sleeves had slight pinpoints of dry blood about his wrists and elbows. For now though he sat in the corner, trying to get some sleep, which seemed impossible. He hadn't slept well in nearly a week, and its effects showed through well enough. Dark bags had collected under his eyes and he had started to see things that (hopefully) weren't really there. After a few moments though he must have dozed off, for a short time later he bolted awake as the lights shut off, and the emergency red light began flashing. That was odd...what could the red light possibly mean? He didn't have time to think much about it as a heavy hand came banging on the door of his room. Afraid the man slipped under his bed to hide though nothing came through it, to his relief. For a few minutes he lay on the cold tile floor, breathing shallowly though the longer he sat there the more confused and worried he got. What could he do? Was it safe to leave? Did he really want to stay? Not really, he would much rather die then stay here. Slowly the man crawled out from the bed, reaching for the door knob. To his amazement he opened it without a problem. The once white hall outside was now dark, the same red colored light flashing along them as it had in his room. Bodies rushed past, though he was unable to tell what or who they were. Now was his chance...as he stepped out into the hall though he was quickly pushed to the side, into the wall, before being knocked to the ground. A foot or two stepped upon him, but other of that he was left alone on the ground, covering his head as he lay there in confusion. A hand brought him back to reality, along with a familiar face.
"Myles! Come on, get up!" It was Waylon, the man whom was watching after him, the handler he had been given. Behind him were a few others that were dressed much like himself, their numbers painted down their sides just like his.
"W-what's going on?" The older man asked in a shaking voice as he was picked up and placed on his feet. Though Waylon just shook his head.
"There is no time to explain this right now, just know that whatever happened isn't good. In fact it's horrible, so horrible that if we don't get going we won't live to see the surface." Jus a few minutes earlier the man had gather his other patients and led them away to safety. Myles was the last on the list. "Come on this way! I was supposed to meet the other councilors down at the break room, they both should have their patients with them." Waylon beckoned them to follow him as he rushed down the hall clearly frazzled. In the lounge area Clara, and Zane both stood already with their patients.
"About time Waylon..." Zane scuffed crossing his arms over his chest. "We've been waiting for an hour!"
"Give him a break Zane, he had to get all of his people together, they were all pretty scattered!" Clara said pacing the room. Her suit was covered in blood and she seems shaken. Zane rolled his eyes.
"Well you're the smart one Waylon, what now?! We managed to gather up all the monsters in one spot so they can all kill us together. So what is you're plan now?!"
"Give me a second!" Waylon said harshly rubbing his face some as he too started to pace.
"Figures..."
(Everyone is in the same area, please ping everyone.)

Carmela sat on the floor. She had her knees tucked underneath her chin as she was trying her best not to cry. She looked at all of the people in the one room. If she wasnt terrified she would be trying to make new friends. She wanted so badly to know what was going on and when it would be over.
(Could you make a ping list? I think I pinged everyone, but I am not sure....)

Allison looked at the others as her ears flicked and her tail swished. She was scared and excited at the same time. "Have you figured out what we do yet Waylon?" She asked as her voice cracked a bit. She was getting more scared by the second. Her ears went back in fear and her tail curled around her leg. She had enough with the needles and didn't want anything worse to happen.

Halfblind shook her head sharply and watched the commotion for a few seconds, before tiring of the handlers' bickering and scanning the room for escape routes in case the handlers forgot about them for a few seconds. A small air vent in the far corner of the room caught her eye, but she didn't know if there was a heater or some other threat to one of her bug forms in it, and the grates were too big for much else. With a silent sigh and a resigned snort, she rolled her eyes - or tried to, anyway - and winced as the movement pulled on the scar that had blinded her right eye. She cursed quietly and rubbed at it, then checked her hand for blood. Nothing. At least there was that.

Ty Faske | 316
Ty stood in the room, red lights flashing around him. He had been used to security drills but he had a hunch that this wasn't one. He tried to get his metal gloves off his hands without anyone knowing. If he could just get out of the cuffs he could escape. Ty looked around the room, seeing all of the monsters gathering in one room, even the higher hostility levels.
Ty had been in this facility since he was nine. At first he was tested every day to see what was wrong with his DNA or if he had any physical defects. Now that he had been in the facility for so long he was only tested once every other week. When he wasn't being tested he was left alone with his thoughts in his cell to think about what he had done wrong.

Rivaan watched as the lights flashed. They were quite irritating. He flicked his tail, and his ears twitched in annoyance. He could see perfectly well, Well night vision of course, close enough. Was sitting down in the corner, as far away from anyone as he possibly could.
He didn't feel like talking, and was in a bad mood anyways. He let out a small growl from his throat as the man said 'monsters'. Rivaan felt his claws piece through his skin, they were normally hidden beneath his skin, and they would break the skin when they came out, it normally healed after a day. He studied all the other patients, he normally only got glimpses of them through the halls.

i sat in a corner hugging my knees trying to calm myself as my ears and tail flicked nervously at noises, "waylon." i said softly beckoning him to come closer with my tail, "i need to talk to you." i said eyeing the other people in the room nervously, the only person i ever trusted was waylon ever since i had met him.

"Yeah Waylon have you managed to think up anything in that big brain of yours? You know because that's the real reason the boss took a liking to you." Zane's face seemed to grow clouded in shadow for a moment, and his grip on his crossed arms tightened.
"Give him a minute, if you want an answer that quickly then why don't you help him think by shutting up for a moment." It was Myles that spoke, clearly needing a few moments of quiet for himself. This was a relief to the normal every day routine though he didn't feel any safer.
"What did you say to me, freak?!" Zane snapped taking a sudden step forward only to be help back by Clara who placed a hand in his shoulder.
"Please there is enough stress already without us fighting, let's just try to get along. And no more name calling Zane. As far as I care they are all people, well save for the talking dog that is." She took this moment to pat the animal with a kind smile. Waylon stopped his pacing for a moment and looked to the girl that called his name.
"S-sure, though we can't go too far from the group. I hate to know what is waiting for us in the dark..." the man shuttered in thought before nodding for her to follow him a few feet from the group yet still wel within sight.
