Piper curled up in the chair on her porch and opened the book. The musty smell of the old bookstore still clinging to the crisp pages. She smiled to herself as she felt herself being pulled into the book, everything around her becoming unimportant and invisible.


Alistair sighed as he set down his backpack by the front door. He heard the clicking of the lock as he shut his bedroom door. Walking over to his bed he grabbed his phone from the charger and dropped it onto his bed before walking to his closet. He pulled off his shirt and threw it into the hamper before walking to his bed and sitting down. He opened the group chat between him, Nicholas, and Crimson. He texted, 'Hey guys. What's up?'

Crimson

Crim was sitting on her bed, staring out her window. She heard her phone buzz, and picked it up, seeing the text from the group chat. She entered her password, and started typing.

Nothing really. My brother went out to go visit his friend, so I'm alone, you?

She typed out. Her brother had gone to go see his friend, Piper, so that left her alone at the house, their parents left one day and didnt come back, so her brother took care of the house. Normally Crim was alone when she wasnt with either Alistair or Nicholas, she didnt particularly mind being alone, but she didnt like it for long periods of time. She waited for a response.

Vince

Vince had decided to go visit Piper, he wanted to go do something instead of sit as his house with his sister, not that he didnt like her, just wanted someone else to talk to. He continued walking, until he came up to her house. She was reading a book on her porch.

" Hi Piper! Whatcha reading? " He said walking towards her. She seemed like she was in a complete different world.

Sawa wandered around, looking at the flowers. She loved the scent of the forest.

Luca skipped around the city, bobbing his head

Alistair laughed slightly to himself. 'I do believe my mom bought some chocolate and popcorn. Both of you up for a movie night tonight?' He rolled over on his bed so he was facing away from the window.


Piper's body jerked as she was frightened by Vince. She looked up trying to hold an angry pout but it quickly turned into a smile. "Between Shades of Gray. It's about Nazi Germany. A bit sad, but I like it. How are you and your sister doing?" she said as she put in a bookmark, she hated when people doggy eared the books, and set it down on the small table besides her chair. She patted the other chair, "Sit down. Want anything?"

Luca became an ibis, and flew to the group curiously.

Meanwhile, Sawa sat down, adjusting her skirt

Crimson

Crim happily texted back.

Sounds great! When should I head over?

Crim set her phone down while she changed into some clothes. She put on a black long sleeve and some leggings. Her closet normally consisted of blacks, greys, and whites. She rarely wore bright colors. Crim then slid on some sneakers and called it good. She was planning on taking a walk as a fox, it always felt more refreshing when she was a fox for some reason.

Vince

Vince hopped on the chair. " Sounds interesting, when your done can I read it? Oh Crim and I are doing great, even though Crim is being her normal bitter and cranky self. " He snickered. " Oh no thanks, I don't need anything. I just wanted to pop by and talk for a while. I've been bored lately. " He enjoyed being around Piper, she was a great friend to have.

'Anytime you want.' he typed back before walking into his closet and sliding on a pair of black skinny jeans and an over sized maroon sweater before walking downstair to make some popcorn and melt the chocolate to the point it would start to melt slightly when you picked it up.


Piper nodded. "Sure, I'm almost done too. Want to stay a bit longer? We could go to the new caf that opened across the street from the bookstore. I heard it was good."

Crimson

Alright, I'll just head over now, see you in a few.

Crim types before grabbing her bag and walking out the door. She knew where all her friends lived by heart. She rounded a corner and continued a little ways, and then she walked up to his house, and knocked on the door.

Vince

" Yeah that sounds great! I was wanting to try it too. " He smiled. " Shall we then? " He said in an obnoxious British accent, holding his hand out. He couldn't keep a straight face for long, that was something he was horrible at.

Alistair rushed towards the door, skidding on his socks and crashing into it with a loud 'oof'. He opened the door as he rubbed his head. "Hi Crimson!" he said with a smile.

Piper took his hand and stood up. "We shall kind sir." she said with a stifled smile. She began to walk in the direction of the caf, stilling holding his hand.

Crimson

Crimson laughed quietly. " Hi Alastair. " She smiled back. " What movies do you have lined up? " She loved almost any type of movie. Her favorites were action and thrillers, not so much horror, she normally gets scared, but she doesn't like to admit it.

Vince

Vince smiled and couldn't keep his laughter in any longer. " What are you planning on trying when we get there? " He asked. He knew he wanted coffee, but had no idea what else he wanted to try.
