Adolescent is a "teen" pet. Looks like adult, but is not yet able to breed.
As for Mentors...

Usually it takes around 26-28 days for a pet to go full proces from newborn egg to adult.
Less if you buy magical pies and feed the adolescent pets with them.
If its a starter/generated pet, thair age is a bit different, because they are already adolescent
at the moment of their creation. If I remember right it takes around 16 days then.
What pet is that exactly?
Looking at some posts' dates the Mentoring thread is used still but it'll probably
take some time. I do not know, I do not follow that one on a daily basis, sorry.

i buy two pets today and both are in hatchery, both adolescent
