Do pets not heal over time when in the Lost Grove?

Correct, they do not. On the bright side, MP doesn't drain over time either in the lost grove.

No, they don't.
I cannot remember exactly where it was mentioned, but pets will not naturally heal in the lost grove, unless they are in a safety zone (to be introduced in later stages).
The reasoning is that this new dimension is very dangerous, so pets do not get to rest and heal while in the zone. So the only way is to exit through the portal (to avoid spawn time penalty), or just exit zone (with spawn time penalty), or use the lost grove potions to heal.
