Opening Scene:
Hogwarts Express- your character is late and the four are stuck in one compartment because all the others are take.))


Rayne sprinted toward the Hogwarts Express, her usually fair-skinned face flushed pink with effort as she attempted to carry herself toward the train before it left. Her dark hair tumbled down her shoulders as her ponytail came loose. Being short, she was rather fast though. She made it just before the train had been about to leave.

Climbing up the stairs, she walked down the hallway. Most of her friends were spread out in other compartments that were full. The only empty one left was the smallest one that none of the students enjoyed sitting in for the trip.

Sighing, she sat down on one of the seats, pulling out her book.

Sebastian sprinted towards the train, his hair tie struggling against the wind to keep his hair out of his face. It was a losing battle. He could hear the engines start up, and glared at the smoke billowing out of the smokestack. He managed to leap on the last carriage just before the train left. Breathing heavingly, he walked down the hallway, looking for an empty carriage. He finally found a carriage with only one person in it. "Excuse me," he said, trying to stop his heavy breathing. He shoved his luggage into the carriage and sat on one of the seats. "Sorry, I didn't fancy sitting in the hallway," he said with an apologetic smile.

"Oh, it's alright." Rayne looked up after she finished her sentence, barely managing to tear her eyes away from the book. "I see I'm not the only one who's late. I'm glad there's an empty compartment at least." She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear before looking back down at the novel.

"At least we managed to get on it," Sebastian said as he pulled out his own book. "I really should time it better," he mumbled to himself as he began to read.
