I just caught myself a rare bulbori and used a lesser mutation potion on it. but it didn't change anything in the genes section.
i just wanted to know if this was a glitch or, if it was because it already had a gene.

He is not tested, this is not a glitch, the lesser mutator give a rendom carry or visible in your case he probably got a carry and thus nothing change in his genetic ( visualy). If you go test him the carry should apear in his genetic section. Keep in mind that any offspring he will have tested or not have 50 % of chance to get the carry as well.
