When someone asks you for diamonds in return for an item they are exchanging with you, how do you give them the diamonds?

In order to set up the diamond exchange, the person to receive the diamonds would set up a trade on the Currency Exchange offering to sell 1 gold in exchange for X diamonds. This would be an unattractive offer to anyone other than the parties involved in the trade. (You need to make sure you've got the exchange the right way around as you wouldn't want to be selling X diamonds for 1 gold.)
