just because i'm curious and i don't lurk in the news that much, though i didn't hear anything about it in the news when i did watch yesterday, the day before and today. so.. what is it? can someone just give me a quick summary..? from my lurking around on the forums, i've formed the hypothesis that it's something internet related but mostly effects companies, not consumers (well, indirectly, yes, but not directly..?)

In short, consumers got to pay extra for internet, otherwise companies will actively slow down your internet. In that case there is no net neutrality. In case of net neutrality, companies cannot manually alter internet speeds and what you can and cannot see.

thanks for the reply~ but, if they raise the price of internet any more, soon my family won't be able to afford it.. or cable.. plus, this seems so twisted and greedy -w- the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
