Welcome!! Here you get to show off your very first Sylestis! And I don't just mean your starter, but your first of all of the species! Is there a memorable story behind them you want to tell? Do they hold a special place in your stable and heart? Perhaps you want to comment on the first pets of other people! :D And don't worry if you got rid of some of your first pets per species- what about your first tamed pet? Maybe your first tagged or exclusive? First gifted pet? First bred? First found as an egg? This is all about firsts and reliving your early Syelestia days! Start posting and travel down memory lane!

I'm going to go alphabetically with my own (because as a hoarder I never got rid of any of my first pets, LOL XD)


1. Aiyana

So I had been in Sylestia for at least a month or so when the Aeirdini was first released as a new pet. (I believe this was after the luffox because I joined just after the luffox was released) and when I first ran into Aiyana in the wilds it was like some fabled fantastic beast! xD Even as plain as she is I knew I wanted her. She is now also one of my main mission pets, always being sent on missions that require Intelligence. I also remember I wanted to give her a name based on the flower tail, so I chose Aiyana- a Native American name meaning "blossoming" or "eternal flower".

2. Memory Dream

Memory Dream is special because he was the first egg I won during the first Dungeon. Actually I almost ended up releasing him but he grew on me and I never did. Now he holds a spot in my fist stable as my very first aurleon :) I loved his colors that I was so angry when they changed drastically during the revamp. I went and worked hard to get pet dyes to try and recreate the purple coloring on him I liked (Purple is my fave color).

3. Luke

Luke was my first Bulbori and I remember I found a bulb essence during some of my battling. I love all Sylestia pets but the bulboris didn't have a lot of traits I really liked. I was going to sell the essence then realized, 'hold on, I don't have ANY bulboris yet!' and so I thought I should at least have one! Thus Luke was created. I named him after the character Luke from Gilmore Girls. I also have a female bulbori named Lorelai after another character from the show and together they had a daughter I named Rory, again after a character from the show. Big happy bunny family :3

4. Tora

I remember I was in the Mossy Caves for the first time (I've been on Sylestia for only a few days now) and I came across this girl and I flipped. She really caught my eye and I have no idea why! Mainly I think because I love purple and light green color combinations. I was so excited when I caught her and fell in love. I was so relieved that she didn't really change during the revamp. She's still as beautiful as ever. Because she became one of my favorites she's also a main mission pet, being top in agility.

5. Dusk of Autumn and Midnight Spring

I'm cheating a little here and using both of these two because I actually got them at the same time. I was going through someone's stables and I saw them for sale (pretty cheap since I was still new to Sylestia and didn't have much gold). Now they were the first faeloras I've ever seen and I became infatuated. I loved the black colors blending with the warmer shades of oranges, reds, and greens. Hence leading to the inspiration for their names as well. Again these two became such favorites that they are top mission pets (Dusk is Agility and Midnight is Dexterity). I even had them make babies I kept, including beautiful offspring that have a visible skeleton marking. :)

6. Artica

Artica was actually a wonderful gift from a kind user. Since I had just joined a few amazing people gave me a great headstart by donating some avatar items, good advice and tips, and even one offered me a free pet! She told me where to choose from and that's when I saw Artica. Much like with Ayiana, Dusk and Midnight this was the first griffi I saw and she was amazing! I loved the black and white and blue color combination. Now the owner was a bit reluctant to give her to me at first, claiming she was a pure bred. At the time I had no idea what that even meant because I didn't know there were special themed/tagged sylestis. However because she must have found my naivete cute she gave her to me. Only much later did I learn that Griffis were fabled pets and that she, being a PB theme, was worth a lot. So because of this, I cherish her extra :)

7. Muirin

I remember again going through someone's stable and seeing this guy for sale. At the time his mane was an ugly blue color but I loved him (plus he was the first Kelpari I ever saw) and I enjoyed his markings. So I went and bought him. However I wanted to change the mane color to be more fitting and I got a recolor potion from one of the older members who gifted it to me. So I thought red was fitting because he reminded me of something from Ireland. That is also what lead to the inspiration for his name. I enjoyed his simplicity so much that when I was given a chance to remake him during the revamp, I decided to keep him just the way he was. :)

8. Zi'Long

Again like with most of my firsts, Zi'Long was the first of her species I saw and she was cheap. I love purple and she just looked so majestic! I snatched her up and she became my favorite Lighira. Because she reminded me so much of a chinese dragon that I wanted her name to reflect that. 'Long' means 'Dragon' but I believe I may have messed up with 'zi'. I thought 'zi' meant 'purple' in Chinese- thus I wanted her name to mean 'Purple Dragon'. Oh well, whatever it means, I like her name and don't ever want to change it :)

9. Miami

I remember the very situation I got Miami in! I was in the Nightfall Bandit camp for the first time when the screen said I had come across an abandon wagon and asked if I wanted to pull back the cover. I said yes and there was this baby luffox looking right at me with her big eyes. It was jarring because so far I've only found eggs during adventuring. I adopted her immediately! XD I named her Miami because her colors reminded me of those old postcards you see about the Miami sunset down in Florida. :)

10. Wasola

I was looking in someone's hatchery when I saw the fuzziest bean ever and I cooed so hard! I never saw a baby lunemara at the time and I knew I had to have him >u< He's another one that became one of my mission pets, maxing out his dexterity. I remember naming him "Wasola" because I thought I read it was a Native American name, but now I can't seem to find it. Aw well, I still like Wasola the name and Wasola the lunemara :)

11. Howler

I found Howler in someone's stable and I loved his simple dark gray and black coloring. He was already pre-named and back then Philters of Amnesia were diamond shop purchases and I couldn't spend real money back then. I didn't really like his name but it grew on me over time so now I could never think of changing it. :D He is my all time favorite Lup and I love to use him in Role Plays. My best friend owns his one and only true love named Elsa. :D

12. Beorn

I was a little smarter at this time when I got Beorn. I wasn't wasting traps on pets with no visible traits, but when I was in Umbra's Forest for the first time and saw Beorn I knew I wanted him. He had a visible and I loved the deep blue of his coloring. He only became infinitely cooler when the morkkos got their revamp! I named him Beorn after the bear shape-shifter from my all-time favorite book- The Hobbit. :3

13. Velvet

So I love all Sylestis, but some less than others. However my least favorite pets are nephinis because....they just don't catch my eye! They seem so....blah. However I wanted at least ONE nephini so I went out looking to buy one. Again they all seemed so.....eh. But then I found Velvet. I thought she was beautiful! It helped too that she was my favorite color. So I was glad to see I could find some nephinis I thought were pretty. I have a good handful of them now and Velvet helped start my collection. :)

14. Axsmom SilverWhip

I found Axsmom in someone's stable and I thought he was just the coolest! He was the most expensive pet I bought at the time (only about a thousand gold or so which now isn't a lot) and I thought he was worth every bit. :) I even made sure to get him a proper mate later. However I was so angry that when the revamp happened they decided to make his helmet seperate from his armor. So with just the armor he didn't look like he used too in the past. Thankfully he had a handful of carries so I was able to give him back his helmet and make him look like how he did when I first bought him. :) I actually went to a fantasy dragon name generator for his name and I couldn't choose between 'Axsmom' and "SilverWhip' so I chose both :)

15. Requiem Blue

I found Requiem in someone's stable and I ADORED how he was just all blue! I also loved how much of an owl he looked like because owls are one of my favorite animals. Actually I'm both excited and scared for the new revamp. I REALLY hope they don't separate helmets from armor this time like they did with the Ny'Venes because I won't be able to save Requiem like I did with Axsmom. :c I DO hope they make them look even more owl-like :) Anyway, he got his name because I was listening to Mozart's "Requiem for a Dream" at the time.

16. Biscuit

I found Biscuit while going through people's stables and, like most of my firsts, he was the first puffadore I saw. I adored his browns and golds, which also lead to the inspiration for his name. When the revamp happened one of his colors got messed up and made him look ugly. Thankfully I was able to mess with his colors to try and make him look how he did when I first got him. :) He's one of my top mission pets, maxing out in intelligence like Aiyana. :3

17. Sa'diyah

I remember this one player had many qitaris for sale but were all so expensive. Then I saw this plain little black and purple girl for an afordable price and I fell in love. If you haven't noticed by now I adore simple pets if they have wonderful color combos. I love purple and light green but I also LOVE purple and black. I gave her an Arabic name meaning 'Fortunate'. :)

18. Ghost

I found Ghost in someone's hatchery for 1 gold and never saw a Ryori before. Being all white and with such a spectral look about him I knew I had to call him Ghost. Simple, Mystical and beautiful I love this boy :) Not much else to it.
