I don't know if it has been suggested before, but with some costumes, like the day of the dead outfits, the design changes depending on what gender base you use. Would it be possible at all, even just for future items, for dress outfits like the elegant leaf attire or spring ballgown change for when they are put on a 'male' base

I agree, but just a note, Spring Ballgown does change when on a different base:
It's not drastic, but I just thought I'd tell you ^.^
