In every mystery dungeon the character chooses to stay in the Pokemon world, but it never says what happens to those who don't. What effects does this have on their day to day lives. This is my idea about the possibilities.

The Pokemon world and human world share the same space in two separate realms. When trouble threatens in one realm there is trouble for both, so closely are they connected. On these occasions special individuals from either realm are chosen to go to the other to solve the issue. Sometimes those individuals choose to stay in the new realm to begin new lives. Some choose to return home. Neither option is easy. For those staying it means giving up their old lives and friends. For those who leave it brings unusual changes. Changes that set them apart and must be kept secret from others. The return home comes with certain abilities and responsibilities that can make life complicated.

Standard abilities include being able to understand Pokemon language and being able to turn into your old Pokemon form. No worries about being captured though. Not even a master ball would do the trick as even in Pokemon form you are technically still a human.

You can also have a few minor side effects depending on what type you were.

Example
Water: types can hold their breath for up to an hour (can be shorter if you personally prefer.) They can also be better at swimming than a normal person.

Fire
Be somewhat heat resistant, or generate a faint heat when it is cold.

Ice
Be able to withstand cold better than normal people or on occasion radiate a faint chill.

Grass
An ability to understand plants and instinctive knowledge of plants and their uses.

Electric
Resistant to electricity. Can be mildly magnetic when enough static is built up.

Rock and ground
Greater strength and an ability to feel possible landslides or earthquakes nearby. (Within ten to twenty miles at most).

Fighting
Greater strength, reflexes, or speed. Also an instinct for strategy and fighting.

Psychic
Mild form of telepathy or dream jumping. (Viewing and entering others dreams.)

Dark
Blend in with shadows. Cannot be seen in darkness if you hold still. (You can however still be heard. Discretion is advised.) You can also hide your scent.

Ghost.
Mild levitation as long as you don't look down, and can occasionally phase through solid objects. However depending on the density of the object you can become so exhausted that you pass out.

Bug
Able to walk up to any swarm without harm. (Control it not so much) Can also use buzzing to call bug Pokemon you have befriended to your aid.

Flying
Sharp eyesight, and a good head for heights. Also increased speed.

Dragon. Resistance to mind reading, heat, electricity, and cold. Also have a natural affinity for dragons.

Fairy
Ability to sense others emotions, and can occasionally see in the dark

Poison
Resistance to poisons and venom. Some can also produce noxious smell as a defense through their sweat glands.

You can also choose one side effect due to what species you were.

NOTE you can only control your element or use attacks in Pokemon form. (No breathing fire, flying, or using vine whip in human form).

Responsibilities include monitoring the state of the two world's and reporting trouble to the legendary Pokemon. The only ones who can travel between realms at will. You also bring disgruntled pokemon who want to change world's to the legendary and greet and mentor those from the Pokemon world who want to come to this one.

Short bio: Was sent to the Pokemon world to deal with a disaster involving a rampaging Rayquaza that had been poisoned by an evil group of poison type Pokemon. Even after proving the popular poison group guilty he was rather unpopular so he returned home. Two of his friends from that world leaving with him. Once home he completed his Pokemon journey and eventually became a private eye.

Most of it sounds good. Keep in mind that the invisibility will have to be limited. Like it only works under certain conditions. At least in human form. Other than that all is good. We will wait for one or to more players before we start.

Okay, what if she only can turn invisible for a minute or less, and must wait an hour in between?

Sounds good to me. As long as there are some limits I'm fine. I'm pretty flexible on what the players choose those limits to be.

Character accepted. IQ cannot be advanced due to Pokemon form. However as a human she can naturally have a high IQ, since IQ is rarely a Pokemon attribute, but far more common for humans. Much like how my character knows martial arts. It is something he learned as a human not a Pokemon.
