So, when I joined the site, and saw that the horse like breed could have a fire mane, I thought.. awesome. Fiery nightmare horse, yes! I even threw it on my first generated pet as a carry. But then.. I saw it, and felt disappointed. It has no shading, and it's very solid compaired to some of the other flame effects on the site now that the image builder has had it's revamp.

So now that everybody elses fire and glow effects are looking cooler, i'd really like it if the Qitari could get a bit of a revamp too. ^^



Here is an example of the difference a little shading can make to give this flat fire a little depth. I did not use any highlighting on this example, just some shadow. Highlighting may work as well, but mostly I was just wanting to get away from the flatness for the example. Tail and legs left as is to demonstrait the difference. I'd love to know what others think of the idea.

Originally I thought that they should make it like the Ny'vene's essence of flame, but I realized that it wouldn't work because the mane and tail fur underneath it. They can't erase the already existing mane. But maybe they could find a way to cover it up or maybe even leave it visible.
