60,000 years ago, unbeknownst to all man kind, there lived a race of horse known as the Pegasi. They had lived in an undiscovered series of caves that housed some of the rarest flora and fauna in the world. No one knows why or how they died out, or where they even lived to begin with. No one knows of their existence until now...

It is the year 2017. You are one of 6 archeologists tasked with clearing out a new sight that had been discovered by a group of locals. You find many different shards of pottery and stoneware, including several carved weapons and armor designed for a horse, yet... not. Upon digging further into the area, you finally find the entrance to the lost cave system, but one of the locals stops you from going in, speaking in their native tongue.

"Si kwenda huko. itakuwa hasira Roho kuutoa kwa wengine, ndio zimekuwa huko kwa maelfu ya miaka. lazima wao huamkia, utakuwa unaongeza hasira zao kwenye ulimwengu, hakuna mwanaume au mwanamke au mtoto itakuwa salama kutokana na ghadhabu yao..."

*rough translation from swahili: Do not go in there. you will anger the spirits that lay at rest, the ones that have been there for thousands of years. should they waken, they will unleash their wrath onto the world, no man or woman or child will be safe from their fury...

Amber hopped out of her truck and opened up the trailer that she had rented from a friend who lived near the site, letting Winter walk out and stretch her legs. Looking around, she sighed softly, and rubbed her eyes a little bit, trying to regain her focus after a long drive. Her teammates, specially selected by her boss, would be arriving soon, and then they could begin work. No one knew what was down there, and no one knew what they would discover.

Josi drove her red truck down the road, finding the spot they were working at. It looked like one of her teammates was already there. She pulled to the side and parked her truck, getting out and locking it. She walked towards Amber, holding out her hand,"I don't believe we've met before. I'm Josi."

Amber shook her hand and smiled a bit "Nice to meet you, I'm Amber. The horse sniffing everything is Winter. Shes going to be helping us haul supplies and tools where we need said items to be. Don't touch her though, she is sensitive. and no, I do believe we haven't met. The others should be here soon and we can get started."

Josi smiled and nodded, releasing her hand. She looked towards the horse, who was sniffing around the a bush. "So what do you think we were sent here for? I don't think I've ever been here before," She said, watching the road for the other trucks coming over the horizon.

"All I know is that a local child found an opening and some stairs, so they called the best of the best in to figure out exactly what is down there. The locals avoid this place like the plague, saying that some kind of spirits live down there, ancient ones that haven't been disturbed for thousands of years. Apparently there may be some highly significant finds down there, that could piece together some periods in history that have remained a mystery for a long time."

He was positively brimming with excitement. It showed in the way he couldn't keep still, his leg bouncing up and down. Adam had gotten one of the local villagers to bring him to the site, knowing that doing so was the best way to truly get a sense of the community that he would be working in. While a lot of the villagers stayed away from him, he had managed to get someone willing to bring him up to the excavation dig.
"Thank you," Adam spoke to his driver, tipping them before he tried not to do a happy little jig on the spot. His adrenaline was pumping and he truthfully just wanted to get right into the fray.

He would take out his bags and his gear from the truck, whistling as he did so.

"Sounds fun." Josi turned her head to the truck that just pulled up,"And it looks like we have another member of the archaeologist squad!" She turned to Amber and smiled,"I guess we will be going down those stairs?"

Trailing his fingers through his thick hair, Adam smiled at the woman who looked his way. He would do proper introductions in a moment. For the time being, he would find a tent that wasn't occupied and call it his own. He didn't mind sharing so long as it was with another guy. It was always awkward having a female bunker when it came down to sleeping arrangements.

Josi watched the man walk away and shrugged, she guessed he was going to find a tent. She put on her sunglasses and looked down the road, no one else seemed to be coming. Josi grabbed her water bottle and took a drink.
