Welcome, Survivor
--=-=+|*|+=-=--
Great calamity has struck the forest of the five clans, and all semblance of order has been lost. It can't be said for sure why so many disasters happened seemingly at once- twolegplace expanding, a terrifying fire, and flooding along the river for the first time in many generations. The clans have been gone for a full year now, but you still remember, and you still carry the name and heart of a warrior. You had almost given up hope-
maybe surrendered to the life of a kittypet, or just surrender your name and become a rogue like your former clanmates- when StarClan finally spoke, delivering a message to you. It is time for the clan cats to rise again, with you as their leader.

BEGINNER'S GUIDE
Foreword--Welcome again! This is a roleplay-based game. I was originally going to put it into the Games boards, but decided it might do better here. So what sets it apart from games like Find the (Blank) or the classic Apprentice to Warrior Ceremony? Well, this one is mostly text-based instead of image-based, and will be doing more writing and just a hint of tabletop RPG elements. I have no idea if there is a niche for this kind of game here, so it's sort of an experiment for me as well as anyone looking to try it. *This was inspired by a game on Chicken Smoothie a while back, if this seems familiar-ish*
Playing--To start play, you must name and describe your leader, spend their stat points, and then simply wait for my response. Once your clan is registered, your leader can begin exploring different areas in search of food, medicine, new allies, or sometimes new dangers and old enemies. When you have more cats, you can send them on explorations too, but I think I'll limit it to no more than two different explorations per clan at one time, and once you have more than two cats, at least one must stay home at any time. I'll probably be pretty lenient on that though. As you explore and encounter new events, you may find injured or sick cats, or even have one of your own gain a need for medicine. Your clan will grow and your need for food will too.. Some zones are more dangerous than others, some yield better rewards. It's up to you where to go.

BEGIN, WARRIOR
--=-=+|*|+=-=--
You awake in a lush forest, the sky still dark. The moon is large and bright, casting a silver glow on the world around you. Strangely, there aren't any stars in the sky- or so you think, until you glance down at a puddle between your paws and see hundreds of stars in the sky's reflection. It dawns on you that this is not the sky of the waking world, but of the ancestors'. Just as you realize where you are, five pale starry-coated cats emerge from the undergrowth, standing before you in a half-circle. Though you don't recognize them by sight, you sense immediately that these must be the founders of the five fallen clans. They begin to speak, seemingly in unison;
"Greetings, warrior. The time of the clans has come and gone, and we of the stars remained powerless to help in your time of need. Now the forest heals, the twolegs settle, and the cats are restless in their hearts. The code will live on as long as even one cat still believes in it. You remain loyal to our ways despite our silence.
As the last warrior, you will be the first leader of a new clan, one without the petty divides of the past. Rise, warrior, and greet the lessons of the past."
With that, the five figures dissipate into fog, leaving you alone- but not for long. Soon, more cats- some familiar, some not- emerge from the sacred forest, until there are nine in all surrounding you. A tingle travels down your spine as you realize what is about to happen. With a bow, you prepare to accept your nine lives and your name as leader.

GAMEPLAY
Exploring zones is the main way to make progress in growing your clan's ranks and restoring the warrior code. In the future, I might do events or add new zones and new mechanics; if you have any suggestions for such things, please message me, as this is a new game that is still very open to ideas!
When you explore, I use a random number generator and my own lists to decide what you find and how that goes. Think of it more like a streamlined tabletop RPG than a traditional roleplay. I might add the possibility for more creative and involved exploration if people are interested. The random numbers and phrases at the end of my responses to your explorations are just the numbers I rolled to determine what happened.
Aging occurs every 5 explorations a clan does. Every cat in the clan will age 1 moon. Cats become apprentices at 6 moons, warriors at 17 moons, senior warriors at 49 moons, and elders at 69 moons. Elders can only explore every other exploration, kittens cannot explore, and if a cat reaches 120 moons, they will pass on and join StarClan.
Sickness, starvation, and Injury are conditions your cats can be found with or gain from random events. Sickness and Injury can be healed with herbs while Starvation is fixed by any food item; herbs and prey can be found by exploring. If a cat goes a full five explorations without being treated, they must roll against their health stat, and if the roll fails they will pass on.

EXPLORATION ZONES
The Pale Forest(Northwest): The remaining part of the northern woodlands left after the fire. Mostly made up of birch trees with some pine trees on the furthest north sections. This area gets a lot of the rain from the mountains in the distance. It is once again plentiful as the prey return, but the predators returned with them, as did the wild cats. (Overall Difficulty: ****, Reward: ****)
The Flame Scar(Northeast): A large swathe of forest and grassland decimated by a forest fire. Formerly a border zone between two clans, it is now almost entirely empty, though the grasses and mosses are finally growing back. There isn't much left here yet, but maybe you'll be lucky. (Overall Difficulty: ***, Reward: **)
The Forest Creek(South): A river emerging from underground travels through the grassy farmland to the south, supporting life year-round. There is an abandoned house on one bank, and a farm further along. Plenty of prey and plenty of cats, but also plenty of dangers for the unlucky. (Overall Difficulty: ****, Reward: ****)
Twoleg Place(Southeast): A twoleg camp; while much bigger than any cat clan, it's smaller than most twoleg places, and mostly quiet. There are some kittypets here who might make good clan cats, and some small prey, but it's up to you if it's worth the trouble. (Overall Difficulty: **, Reward: **)

Passiflora- The naming is not a huge issue, but if you wanted to be more "accurate" to the books, Emerald would be "Emeraldstar", since -star is the name given to leader cats. The main point here is just to have fun ^-^ I can call her Emeraldstar or just Emerald, whichever you prefer. Your clan is registered, and you can start exploring whenever you like in any of the four zones.
Emberfall777- You can still distribute your cat's skills, they have 10 points you can put into any of the six stats as you please :) If you aren't sure, I can use a number randomizer to do it for you.

Okay, I'd like to be accurate, though. Oh, and just a small thing, but you called Emerald 'her', Emerald's a he. It's not a big deal, just letting you know.
Emerald looks in every direction, and decides to go to the twoleg place, in hopes of finding another cat that may want to join him.

((Oh! Sorry, I'm a bit tired haha. I'll put him down as Emeraldstar then. For accurate warrior names, I can either generate them for you when you meet a cat, or you can name them yourself based on their description. Warrior names are usually two words put together that are related to the cat's looks, personality, or something they've done in their life, like Fireheart, who is a ginger/"orange" colored cat known for being brave.))
Twoleg Place: Though you came in search of another cat, a tempting catch for your future clanmates catches your eye- a large rat. You pounce, but it wriggles out of your grasp- a lucky claw forward gets it back, however! (5<19 Strength->miss, 6=6 Luck->catch) +1 Rat(Food item)
Emeraldstar must return to his clan's camp to stash the new prey item. You may explore again, or try a new area.
