I've had some bizarre things happening since the beginning of last week, mainly when I go to new pages or try to progress in a dungeon I get lockups. They aren't lag, because ive sat a lockup page open for 5 hours and it never progressed, it just froze in an action that won't complete till you F5. I've had to refresh up to 100+ times just to get through the battles in both dungeons. Here are some pictures to help you:

This only just recently happened like a week or so ago, a bit into the summer festival. Though some of the problems appear to be a lag, but it's not from my end, like when i go to send a message in the cometchat, it takes 10-30 seconds to post sometimes.

If you have been getting bad gateway errors, that could be the reason.

A lot of our pages use Ajax to update. Like, when you make a command in the explore window, it's actually loading a web page and then returning the results of whatever that page loaded. So if that http request fails (bad gateway error), the explore window (or inventory, social page, etc etc) will die.

So if you've been having issues with that, then I would probably say that's why pages keep dying on you after inputs.


As far as the bad gateway error, as always, there sadly isn't much i can do.

We pretty much are stuck using Cloudflare and sometimes the bad gateways happen with their service. It is pretty much entirely out of my hands for fixing or preventing them.


Have you been receiving bad gateways for an entire week?

I've been having these broken pages since last week, but the 504 errors only since a day or two ago. I know I keep having these issues, but why is it that i seem to be the only one suffering a lot from it? people have been telling me they get these errors every now and again, but i've been getting these non-stop now since last week.

You might have an unpopular ISP so the path from your computer to cloudflare is different than 99% of all players in your data center. But that's just a guess.

Connection stuff isn't really my area of expertise.

Did you have any problems with the Summer Festival zone?

Yeah, these lag or broken site things seem to happen around the times of events, but prior to the summer festival, everything was perfectly fine o.O Which doesn't make sense, since you told me even when its super busy, your site is still way underloaded and experiencing no lag.

Other than the battle page stopping, can you elaborate on the lag and other issues you had? Maybe I can find a connection.

And just to be sure, the new battle system in Esior's Fields during the Summer Festival was also breaking?

every 2-3 pages i try to load on the site, either lags hardcore, or stays stuck at loading, which usually just leaves the background image and nothing else. it's just strange, sometimes it wont lag or mess up for like 5 mins, and then mess up most of the time. The new exploration thing wasn't breaking, it just was extremely laggy.
