I thought it was one unit a day but then the next morning, my eight Sylestis seemed to have eaten 22 units of food! But before when I only had three Sylestis, they only ate three units. Did I do something wrong?

@Arwen, I think it depends on the individual sylesti's hunger bar.
If you check their page, there's a yellow bar that depicts their hunger (I believe mine are out of 22). If it's at a full 22, they only eat 1 food unit every night (12am Sylestia Time).
I guess they eat more if their hunger bar isn't full, according to how much they have to compensate.
