Long ago, the districts rebelled against the Capitol, a bustling city surrounded by a mountain range. However, the Capitol won, and completely destroyed District 13 as a warning for the other districts. A new game was set up, as a reminder of the rebellion. Two children, aged twelve through eighteen, are chosen from the reaping ball to be tributes for the games, and must fight and kill other tributes for the Capitol's amusement. The winner is the person who survives.... Will you win the Hunger Games, or will you go down trying?
(You may want to read the first book by Suzanne Collins before roleplaying)

The story starts when the Tributes are first chosen.... This is five years after Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark won the Hunger Games.... But there is a twist... They failed to defeat the Capitol, and thus the Hunger Games goes on...

"And now, the female tribute for District 1 is..... Grey Torrent!" Effie Trinket said happily. Grey stepped up to the podium.
"Good!" Effie said.
Effie had been the escort of District 12 five years back, but had risen through the ranks, finally landing a spot as the escort of District 1, which as its name suggests, usually won.
Grey stood beside the male tribute of District 1, Gage Emmeret, and the two walked off the stage.

"Now this is just wonderful!" Effie said, steering the two tributes towards the train. "Just wonderful!"
"Are we going to the Capitol?" Grey asked.
"Yes we are!" Effie said. "Do you have any family you wish to say farewell to?"
"No." Grey said, thinking about her mother, a drunkard who nearly let her own daughter starve. "No one."
"Okay then! Off to the Capitol!"
The train arrived at the Capitol, first, as usual.

"Holy crap! That hurts!" Grey growled, as a beautician with bright green hair stripped off some hair from her leg with a piece of fabric.
"Sorry! You've just got a lot of hair! You're almost done, sweetheart!" the beautician said, stripping off one last piece. "There, now you don't look like a monkey anymore!" She let out a tinkling laugh.
"Hah hah. Very funny." Grey said sarcastically.
"Now we can let Jess see you!" A gold skinned beautician said, her voice unnaturally high-pitched.
