Not certain if this is an appropriate topic, but this is the day that we commemorate those who have served in the military and are no longer with us.
Thomas W. Pickett - my husband of over twenty years served in the US Air Force - he was the one who named Leo after the constellation Leo (an astronomy lover) and allowed me to adopt Oreo to play with Leo.
No need to ping me - Simply post if there is someone who would like to remember.

James B. Libby (1922-2001) - He served as a Gunner's Mate Third Class in the US Navy during WWII (aboard a ship with Johnny Carson!) as well as working many years in Crash & Rescue at Air Force bases in Maine, Massachusetts and Washington DC. He was a father of 12, a lumberjack, carpenter, firefighter, historian and genealogist. He also enjoyed giving back to his community; he was active in his hometown's Historical Society, donated land to build a town office as well as donating lumber for the local school and church.
Bertrand J. Lussier (1924-2001) - He served in the Field Artillery in African and Europe during WWII. He was an active member of our local church and American Legion Post. He was a father of 5 and an avid bowler who usually played in several bowling leagues each week and to this day remains one of the highest scoring bowlers at our local bowling alley.
