With the addition of the new Starter Bundles I was thinking of other things that might be worth putting into the diamond shop to generate income for the site, particularly outside of festivals.
I considered that when I first started, the thing that made me decide to spend money here and support the site seemed like an excellent long term investment for my account - the diamond shop genetic test kit. It's something priced reasonably that's entirely worth the investment, it benefits me every day not just during specific events and it's something I saw as the item to aspire to saving up for as a serious player and breeder.
I know we have the Infertility kit, but that's rather more specialist and not something a brand new player might look at and think;
"10 for that seems like a banging deal"

So I wondered if it would be worth adding more things to the diamond shop that would be one time purchase for permanent upgrades to the account? Things that, though they may only be 500 or 1000 diamonds when purchased once are things that every user on the site might consider buying and making use of to "upgrade" their experience on the site.
Ideas I had along these lines, though I'd love to hear if anyone has any other suggestions or thinks this kind of thing is a good idea:
Diamond Shop Stablehand
From the way the site is set up, I feel that the idea that we should be logging in regularly to feed our pets so they won't fall unconscious is a decided choice by the admins, so anything that removes the need for us to be feeding or setting up stablehands at all would be a no-go, that said;
We can currently hire Stablehands and include diamonds in the purchase to increase the length of feeding time, but the diamonds are small, sometimes odd amounts for individual chunks of time. I don't currently spend diamonds on stablehand purchases because there's not actually any gain to me using them other than the increased time and I have to say I don't see it being a good payoff for my diamonds.
But then I questioned,
would I be tempted to part with diamonds in a one off purchase if it would save me time and gold in the long run?
If we could make a one time stablehand purchase in the Diamond Shop that would allow us to set our stablehands to feed for 4 or 8 weeks, with the discount provided by the stablehand, without needing to pay diamonds to hire them there and then, I would think that would be something I'd consider.
Mystery Egg Philter
So making an item that would be an everlasting Prismatic Philter I personally feel would negatively impact the site financially in the long run as I feel we as a collective do spring for Prismas now and then for our Stat projects and other important pets. Although we enjoy the site very much as it is, it's still growing and the new site is still being built so cutting directly into something we regularly purchase would impact the resources that can be spent on bringing us the final, completed Sylestia. So eternal Prismas are out in my book -
What about the eggs we don't care about quite that much? Nurturing isn't everyone's favourite thing to do for the lesser philters, and the greater ones would still require cost, especially with the Festival Wheel gone, on an egg that maaaybe we just don't think that much of. (It's Egg #842984 of your 17th project for goodness sake) So we currently generally leave them to hatch themselves, or the extra passionate among us sit and hatch their eggs to see what's inside and help them hatch for the boosts.
What if we had an item that, for a one time purchase, would allow us to assign a mystery boost to eggs when we hatch them? Just like a normal philter, but not one we can choose. This means people who are still seeking to boost specific stats would continue to purchase specific philters, this item would essentially be to add engagement with the hatching process and if there was a potential to get a random prisma boost I think this would be a winner.
My thoughts on this one in an eggshell(lol) : Permanent item to purchase and have in your inventory, an extra button on the hatching screen, random results with each press.
And finally
I wondered what the community's thoughts would be on a suggestion of an Exceptional Amnesia Philter. So, essentially, something that's been suggested many times before - an item that would remove the need for purchasing amnesia philters with gold or scales to remove names, buuuuut..
I think this is something that does generate a lot of gold and scale movement on the site so just introducing an easy to achieve Philter might break the market a bit, I figure this is probably part of why such a popular suggestion isn't something that's been implemented - makes sense to me - so, I suppose my question is
Would you still be interested in a one time purchase of an Exceptional Amnesia Philter if it was right bloody expensive?
I'm thinking, the ultimate impulse purchase. Something you know you don't really need, but might get to treat yourself on your Birthday one day. Something more expensive than the Test Kits, because this is an item that does actually currently have a market that moves and fluctuates, so in my mind we'd have to be careful not to wreck that, would you still be interested in it?
(Disclaimer: Gold can be exchanged for Diamonds on the Currency Exchange so this does not just affect Paying players)

Yes to more items in the diamond shop!~
Especially those that are enticing like the Exceptional genetic testing kit. This feels good for the site since we users would be spending more diamonds. And it would make me happy as well since we'd get new features.
For the amnesia philter in particular, I would buy it in a heartbeat. o: What I like about such items is that they are good for users that want to stick around for a long time, but are unnecessary for users who don't plan on being on the site much. Making the pricing seem very reasonable to me.
For the stablehand, I'm not sure exactly what the right solution is, but the current system is a bit odd. I think some more thought might be needed on changing this, but would be much welcomed.
For the Mystery philter, it sounds interesting. Seems like it'd be an easy thing to add that would add a little spice to items we have on the site. Maybe this could replace those tiny increase in stat philters. Does anyone use those?? (I could be wrong here)

So I'm not much on stable hands, though I feel like for those who utalize it often that would love it.
As for the mystery egg boost I really like this idea! Though I think it should be mildly less productive than the greater phithers for eternal use, or have a limit to how it is used.
The philther of amnesia one would be most helpful, however I feel like a one use per pet limit should be applied for the eternal one, but the pets name could still be changed using a regular phither from the scale shop or what not. That just a thought though.
Something I as a tamed hunter would be interested in would be a mutating kit. This could also go a a Hella expensive kit, but hey if it acted like an unlimited genetic mutator I would totally fork out some diamonds for it. There could also be a greater and lesser kit if that would separate the pricing costs though they would still be up there

First off. Exceptional Amnesia Philter, please happen.
Many of my pets are unnamed because of the permanency of the names. It bums me out and I feel less immersed but gold is precious and at 10k a name basically, I hesitate to name anyone anything. I would pay a fair amount, 2-3, maybe even 4 times the other kits. I don't feel that it would break the economy because there would be people who wouldn't want to pay.
Also really like the idea of a Random philter for eggs. Just the way you explained it: "Permanent item to purchase and have in your inventory, an extra button on the hatching screen, random results with each press."
I probably still wouldn't buy a diamond stablehand unless there was ANOTHER bonus to it. I had made some suggestions with the feeding cost increase. Like if there were different types of stablehands, one that would give boosts to hatchlings (Much like the Random Philter you suggested), or slightly better odds during breeding. Like a 2% increase to get a carry trait. Something like that.
I'm all for permanent items but I can't really think of anything else that would be a kit-esque thing. I mean, Perma dye isn't a good idea.. I don't think perma mutators are, either. These would make us all way too powerful and break the game.
Oh, I thought of one that some people may want.. A Perma philter of Learning / Unlearning. Either one Philter to toggle experience on and off or two Philters (each at 500 diamonds?) that server the same purpose. I think this could be more of a specialty option, like the Infertility kit.
