hello. not sure how exactly it happened, but now I can't fight in the new (third) zone. or, to be more specific, I can't be in the new zone while fighting enemies.

this is what I see:

thing is... I am not in a battle from another zone. but let's check anyway, shall we?

let's head to the forgotten tomb, for example.

aaand it's the same bulbori I met in the orchard. I am able to kill them, gimme a minute...

...I won, and in the orchard the bulbori just disappears, with zone chat telling me I won.



it all started with Ariella, and she did not disappear after I defeated her in an old zone. I thought it was something bad with this zone so I switched to orchard but faced the same problem. encounter an enemy, get an error message, check an old zone to see the enemy moved there. it doesn't matter which old zone I check, new zone enemies will appear wherever I go, just not in the new zone.


UPD: now it won't let me go in any of the old zones at all, so I can't fight in neither new nor old zone. can't escape either. so I am just stuck now. please help?


things I've tried:
- clearing cache
- restarting browser
- relogging

I went ahead and just cleared them all so you should be fine now.

I'd suggest exiting whatever zone you're currently exploring and reloading the page of whatever zone you're then wishing to explore.

I also would not suggest exploring in multiple tabs at the same time, as it may confuse the server. =P

I was... checking if it'd go away... ^^' probably shouldn't have battled Ariella several times, since she's a boss and normally I wouldn't be able to see her several times in a row. my bad. I just got really confused.

It's supposed to redirect you to the proper place. I'll take a look and try to figure out why it failed to do that.

>w< sorry for bothering you, but this thing happened again. all the same, and started with Ariella as well. I'm 99% sure this was the only tab I had opened, but still when I approached her, I got the error message. and then everything was the same as I had stated in the first post.

also, I just tried to start a battle in Nightfall Bandit dungeon and then (in the same tab) visit the dungeon of the Forsaken. this got me... into Astryl's Tranquility o_O still with the enemy from Nightfall dungeon (which I defeated then). I did not leave the Astryl's Tranquility using "exit zone" before, so I did. then, I started a battle in the Forsaken dungeon, did not finish it, tried to visit Nightfall dungeon and ended up in Astryl's Tranquility again. O_o why not Orchard?..

the only thing I can add is that I usually visited Astryl's Tranquility using a bookmarked Task Board in Ethernia - https://www.sylestia.com/explore/city/?town=ethernia&map=taskboard#pagetop. if I was in Astryl's Tranquility, it took me there (since you can't be in two places at the same time, in the third zone). it was a bit faster then going to the map, selecting third zone and selecting Astryl's Tranquility. and it worked fine until the last couple of days. unsure if it matters, but it's not a proper way to visit a zone, right? so I thought I could mention it, just in case.

I have purged you of all battles/exploring. So you should be fine to continue.

For the time being, I'd suggest visiting zones only using the World Map until I get a chance to investigate the source issue.

got it, thanks. I'll make sure to use the World Map only, though I'll probably refrain from visiting the third zone at all, unless some event is hosted there. sorry for causing trouble.

Nothing to be sorry for. =P Not your fault it's breaking.

Did a lot of reworking of the site checks for battles and what it allows you to do if you're in a battle.

Also cleaned up the database tables for those who were in similar situations as you.

So, unless it's still bugged, this should be 100% fixed.

Please let me know if you encounter it again and what you did to make it happen.
