I know helping out at the hatchery can earn event currency, I was wondering if there was a faster or easier way you to earn the currency.

If you have access to the 3rd region, Astryl's Vale, when you explore in any of the zones there, you can find chests that will give the tokens as well. I think enemies might drop them as well. If you encounter a festival boss, they will also drop tokens.
