Gideon
-----------------------------------
The morning sun rose above the ocean waters, waking up the sleepy port town of Crystal Sands. Boats were already docking and unloading their cargo as Sylestis began the day by heading off to do their jobs and chores. The sky was clear and the weather warm, promising to be a lovely day. Only, one certain griffi wasn't letting himself enjoy this summer morn.
Admiral Gideon stood on top of the fort wall, his eyes narrowed and cast out over the sea. He heard tales of pirate attacks becoming more frequent on the seas....and even worse the attacks seem to be drawing nearer and nearer to Crystal Sands. Gideon was prepared to defend his home with his life from the scourge of these bloody lowlifes. He had no tolerance for these blackhearts, having lost his parents to a pirate attack when he was a hatchling. Now he has committed his life to putting criminals behind bars and protecting his home with his very life.

Katherine
Katherine walked around the dock. Katherine was always bored there was never anything too do other than look at the sky and think. Nothing interesting ever happened and there was nothing fun to do. She walked over towards the market, "maybe there is something going on there" she thought.

Jack Lantern
---
He had slept in again! Oh he was going to be scrubbing the stone floors for another week if he didn't get to the morning briefing in time! The Puffadore's little legs had him scrambling up the road and towards the barracks. He didn't sleep in them yet, as he was still a low level grunt. But this meant he always had to run to them each morning. If there was one thing they could count on, it was that he had lungs the size of Qitari's! He reached the front wall, and hopped up the stairs.
Panting, the young puffadore had made it! Or, he hoped so at least. He stood at attention to his Admiral, standing proud and as tall as he could. "Good Morning, Admiral Sir." He greeted the large, and intimidating, Griffi.

Gideon
-----------------------------------
After surveying the ocean, Gideon left the fort and headed down the stone steps into the town. He moved past sylestis who greeted him with friendly 'good mornings' and 'hellos'. The Admiral would greet them back with a nod of his head. However the large griffin failed to see the smaller puffadore walking his way. His large paw stepped on Katherine and he quickly pulled his paw back, his tail curling up in surprise. "O-Oh, my apologies, young miss! I failed to see you there. I hope I didn't hurt you."
That was when he noticed another puffadore scrambling his way before it stood before him at attention. "At ease, Jack," Gideon stated. Despite Jack's tardiness, Gideon took it easy on the pup. He was young, skilled and quite determined to pull his own weight.
Benatar
-----------------------------------
The black Zolnixi raced across the deck of the Black Fire, leaping up to grip a rope hanging from the mast in order to swing himself up onto the main deck beside the ship's wheel. Smirking, Benatar looked out over the ocean, seeing the island of Crystal Sands in the far distance. A grand treasure awaited to be plundered on that island and he was already impatient as can be. He trusted his captain as she knew what she was doing. They didn't have that big of a crew yet so they couldn't risk going head on into the port only to get attack by a naval fleet.

Capt. Seara
---
A shout alerted the crew, as the Captain of the Black Fire walked up on deck. Her orange eyes ablaze as she looked in the direction of the sea port. "Crystal Sands... A marvelous prize, if the treasure itself is not as true as the legends say." She chuckled, her tail swinging behind her in a lazy manor, as she took out an eyeglass and peered through it. "Rotten luck we had less than half a crew to take it...." She huffed, and tossed her eyeglass to Benatar. "Change the flag, and cover the name with the decoy. We be a merchant ship... Fer' now." She ordered, grinning, her always following flames seemed to move in an excited manner.

At the order, the puffadore did indeed relax. However, he still stood at attention. He blinked as he noticed the other, female, puffadore, and he couldn't help but to puff out his chest a little. After all, he was a Soldier, and a fine catch.... He hoped anyways. "Yes, Sir... Hello miss." He then turned his attention to the other of his species, and smiled in greeting.
