Hazel Hazel ran about her ship doing the tacking herself and tightening the ropes as well as coiling the oakum. She was in high spirits today as she would soon make port on the cost of Varahara, and was certain she would be able to scrap up a crew to go to the Nearby Islands, and even explore Varahara it's self. While she was still a ways off she stood at the Bow of her ship awaiting the drop of her Anchor.

Westly Claringbold ran along the cliffs by the ocean, his stubbed tail wagging excitedly.
Visitors! he thought. We haven't had visitors in a while! A twig snapped behind him, and he whirled around to see his friend, and fellow Zolnixi, Avalon Esphire.
"You look chipper today." Avalon noted, reading a book that was floating in midair in front of her.
"We've got visitors! Or a visitor!" he said. Ava looked up from her book.
"Oh yeah." she said, spotting the ship.
"I wonder what it's like, to travel the world..." Westly said, his eyes misting over.
"We're not allowed to leave the island! The Leader's rule is law." Avalon said.
"I want a change in regime..." Westly sighed.

((OOC: I added her last name to my sign up, I had not though about posting it, in case someone wants to be a long lost relative^-^)) also feel free to ask if my language gets to in depth
As she approached the shore it looked empty, no dock or safe place for her ship, But that would not deter her, she was a Leehighten after all, tight sailing was in her blood. She sprang from the bow And loosened the halyards dropping the sails one by one before dropping her anchor on her way to the helm to steer her in. With the anchor deployed and the bit of momentum she had she turned the wheel hard right bringing the ship parallel to the shore, but far enough away she would not be caught banked. She cast the slipways off the starboard side of the boat (left) as to not drift into the sea. She then Raced to the Port side (right) and cast herself from the side of the ship plunging into the water. She swam up to the sandy shore and shook the salty water from her pelt and scarf. " Wow looks empty..." she said slightly disappointed.

"Oi! Ava look! Someone's landed on the beach!" Westly said. He pelted towards the shore, Avalon puffing after him.
"Stop! You're going too fast!" she gasped.
"No, you're going too slow!" Westly retorted.

She padded up the beach a ways before her eyes caught a shiny shell studded on the beach, she trotted over and examined it, it was small, but quite beautiful, a light shade of pink inside and a creamy tan on the outside, something son seen to often as most shells lost their color when the reached the shore.

"Oh lord! I can't stop!" Westly cried, his paws slipping on the steep sand path that lead to the beach.
"S-stop fidgeting! You're getting sand in my face!" Avalon cried. The two Zolnixis crashed down on the soft beach sand in a crumpled heap.
"That was your fault! If you hadn't been running so fast instead of focusing, you would have seen the sand path!" Avalon moaned, scratching sand out of her fur.
"No it wasn't! You pushed me!" Westly retorted.

As she put the shell into her Bag her ears rotated to quite the bustle in the tree line near a sandy path. It sounded like talking so she trotted over the investigate. Upon seeing he too she flattened her ears " Oh!...Um Hi." she was quite shocked to see two nixis before her.

"Oh... Hello. Are you new here?" Westly asked, laying on his back. To him, Hazel was upside down.
"My name is Avalon Esphire, and this useless back of bones is Westly Claringbold." Ava said. She levitated a somewhat medium-sized pebble behind her and threw it at the bronze-furred Zolnixi.
Crack.
"OW! That hurt! Why'd you do that!" he asked, rubbing his head with a paw.
"What? I didn't do anything..." Ava said slyly. "Varahara is in those clumps of trees!" Avalon said, before running off into the bushes, Westly in fast pursuit.

Visitors? How long had it been really since he had seen a new face in the lands? Too long for his likings. Perhaps they would know new songs! How wonderful that would be, songs from a different land, new people! The though nearly made him wag his tail enough to throw him from the tree in which he stood. He couldn't let them know that he had been watching, least not until he found out if either side was intending trouble.
