Can you flee? I wanted to level up my Level 0 pet but it took away the low level beginner area I used for my starter pet and only lets me go to this trollblight place, and it put my Level 0 up against a Level 8 random monster. Which is silly. I can't find a button to flee so I just left that webpage, and now it won't let me do anything else because "I'm still in battle."

I think you don't get the runaway button till the 3rd region. And even so, running away isn't always successful. You just have to go through with the battle. =/

If you want to level up level 0 pets, you can send them on missions, or put them in battle with a higher level pet. You should be able to have two pets in your party now. If not, go to the haven's plaza to buy the second slot.
