Liron flapped his inky black wings as he came to a landing next to a couple of trash cans in an alleyway. These ones will probably have food that isn't completely rotten in them! He thought to himself. I mean, what are the chances that 20 consecutive trash cans wouldn't have any food in them? Wait, does that sentence work grammatically? Eh, doesn't matter. It's just in my head, anyway. He knocked the first bin over and winced as it made a loud metallic crashing sound. The noise was a familiar one, yet he still found it unpleasant.

(Keep in mind this is the future, so trash pickers will be there. By the alleys, I mean the trash left out for the robots to carry.)


Gaea rattled the metal can and she saw Crimson with her. Her expression eased as she saw he was biting a chicken leg.

Liron jumped slightly as he heard noises coming from further down the alleyway, but recovered quickly. "Hello!" He called out. "What are your names?"

Melody flew through the sky carefully scanning the ground below

Crimson ducked.

The two of them appeared runts. Gaea eased Crimson out.
In a silky voice, she said, "Gaea and Crimson."

She didn't notice another one was flying through the air below her, swooping and diving to catch some birds. A few white planes flew past Melody.

Melody hide on the underneath of one of the white planes. She clawed out the wires and crashed the plane but she moved out of the way before she got crushed. Melody went to see what was inside the strange plane.

Liron shifted his wings a bit and stepped forwards. "I'm Liron"

There wasn't a lot, just food. The human screamed, hanging onto the other one's legs, whom slowly glided down, putting the pilot down below. The human, named Theodore, smiled at the experiment. She nodded and the pilot threw her a fine steak from his lunchbox. She nuzzled him.

The pilot said, "54637, it's good to see you- what should I name you?"

She yawned, "I don't care, perhaps Porcupine?"

Theodore laughed at the name of Porcupine. "Yeah, yeah, sure. Captain Derek will be there to greet you, he needs help, guiding a plane in fog."

"Ahh, sure, fog though? I guess I'll try...."

"Great job, 546- Porcupine, good girl, more food as long as you help."

Porcupine laughed and followed.

"Liron..." Crimson shuddered at the name, "Lion......."

Gaea laughed, "Don't be afraid, you have a lion's mane and paws."

Crimson smiled a bit, tinging corners.
