I just completed the dungeon of the forsaken, and nothing! No quest complete, and when I try to go to Ethernia it just takes me to the fest zone... What?

The festival zone is supposedly in the 3rd region. In the 3rd region, if you want to switch within zones, you'll need to exit the one you're in to enter a different one. Which means each time you enter a zone, you'll start from the starting point.
So you'll need to exit the festival zone if you want to go anywhere in the 3rd region to continue the storyline...
