It was the summer of the Redsand. The African savanna was under one of the worst droughts it ever was to see. Animals had to move both day in and day out just so that a few of each herd could see water. Not many young lived as well as the older of the animals. Now you may think that the predators had it made with all the death, but you would be wrong. One main herd has banded together to travel in number to Running Water, a place of grasslands and an endless water supply. You are part of this herd or wise to become part of it, for the sake of numbers. One main pride remains as well, mixed up of all the predators of the savanna, they hunt the herd as they travel. No one is safe anymore. The sun burns the earth, the wind blows it away, and the water is playing tricks on the mind. This is it The Redsand...a time when even the dead are left to die.

The hot sun beat down on her tarnished fur. It was so hot and there was nothing here to drink, that only made it worse. Harley panted as she walked back to the pride. Again she had bad news, there was still no food to eat, but they were closer to the herd than they had been. The cheetah walked up to Lyxe. "The herd is to the east, we should head that way. Maybe you and Hercules can hunt down some prey if me and Kovo destract them?"

ya probable hercules can't think of anything once he sets his mind to something ok hercules walked up to lyxe with a rodent in his moth probable a kangaroo rat or a aardwolf cub cus they did not eat meat but hey its food hearing what she said hercules perked up his ears to hear something and said ya lets go there might be a zebra or giraffe

lyxe jumps on a nearby gruap of mice one of the frist catchs of the day she thinks then looks at herculse he got a kangaroo joey

Dora walked around on only two legs. She had found a large cactus. "Hey guys! This might have water!" She scratched off a few pieces and carried it back to a mother hippo.

Damo flew above the herd, waiting for someone to get hurt so he could dive down and take them. He flew circles, seeing a baby hippo wander off. He dove down, His beak pointing straight down, ready to stab into it's flesh. He was a few feet away from the hippo, when the baby looked up. Damo didn't care, he stabbed it in the forehead, the hippo screeched, then fell to the ground.. not moving again. The huge bird carried away the baby in his talons to eat alone.

"Let's get going then! Wait where is Kovo?" Harley chirped looking about. The caracal padded up to them and sat quietly. "There you are! Come on, we have to help hunt down a good kill for the pride!" The cheetah clucked dashing off excitedly. Kovo sighed and walked after her.

here we go i see them go distract them by pouncing on a big rock and making them think its a baby zebra

Damo flew over a cheetah. He dove down,"Ay' Mate. The herds a few miles that way. Easy pickings."

Soul spiraled above the Pride, keeping a constant lookout. Her sharp eyesight spotted a vulture close to one of the cheetahs. Curious, the gyrfalcon dived, screeching out a hello, "Hello, vulture, brother of the air!" Soul snapped her wings out last second, sending up a cloud of dust and allowing her to land safely. "So, what brings you here to our Pride?"
