I have no idea how to earn them could someone tell me?

You should focus on earning gold. Gold can be exchanged for diamonds from other players via the currency exchange under the "Trade" tab. The gold to diamond ratio is usually 1 diamond = 2,500g-3000g, but it depends on the market.
