Hi there! I've always wanted to host a design contest so, here goes, haha. This will be a design contest based on the astrological Zodiac. The goal is to design a Zolnixi based on any one of the zodiac signs - however you envision them to look like. At the deadline, I will choose my favorite design from each sign; this means there will be THIRTEEN winners. Yes, thirteen.
The categories are:
Aries
Taurus
Gemini
Cancer
Leo
Virgo
Libra
Scorpio
Sagittarius
Capricorn
Aquarius
Pisces
AND Ophiuchus. *I know it isn't an official sign, but still.

RULES

1.) You may only enter one design from each category, but you may enter in as many categories as you wish.
2.) Please enter both the male and female for your design, any entries without both will be disqualified. Also, be sure to list which Sign you're entering it for.
3.) You may use as many or as few traits as you want, but please list the traits you used. This isn't a requirement, but it would make it a lot easier for me when I actually start the breeding process.
4.) You are not required to include inspiration, but you definitely can if you want to. (Note: Including it won't have a direct effect on judgment, but it would certainly be fun to read ^.^)
5.) Please ping me with designs - again, not a requirement, but it would be very appreciated.
6.) Please be nice, and have fun!!

PRIZES

Since there are thirteen categories, only one winner will be chosen from each. This means thirteen prizes will be given out. They will all be Sylestis from my stables, and all of them will have at least one trait. It will be treated as a #1-13 placement, meaning if I liked the Pisces entry better than the Taurus, the Pisces winner will get/pick their prize first.

Sent a few designs for your contest. I did Taurus, Leo, Virgo and opiuchus. The first two ( taurus and leo) were inspired by how sign are assigned elements typically taurus is earth and leo fire. Virgo just always seemed green to me. Opiuchus still doesn't have mush about it and what its connections to various things are supposed to be so I went with a mystic/space theme.

Aries ::

My inspiration for this the stereotypical aries, hot and fiery, passionate too- I used a general basis of colors I'd imagine an Aries having, with a dash of blue to make sure it was different.

Taurus ::

My Taurus zolnixi was based on the earth that is connected to them, and I added in a small thing opposing their stereotype as they can be seen careful with money by picking an elegant outfit that would have costed much.

Gemini ::

This zolnixi, and my favorite of the zodiac signs in general, is two faced- hiding behind a mask so their true colors don't show. They are create with many colors as they learn to adapt quickly it seems, and of course that hint of red evil in their eyes as most see them that way.

Cancer ::

Beloved, emotional Cancer, with many calm colors to soothe their soul. It helps as they are connected to water, and thus this color scheme was developed for it. I felt the pearl armor was a good suit for it as pearls were under the sea, as a Cancer might be.

Leo ::

The great and mighty Leo is next. A beautiful red lion, or zolnixi in this case, has to have yellows and oranges as they shine as bright as the sun- at least, stereotypically they wish to be. Bright colors pop out, as the creature does wish for everyone to see their greatness I'd imagine.

Virgo ::

Virgos, the maidens of the zodiac. It was more difficult to choose for this how I would color it, I went with the pink coat as to show their symbol, but the greens for earth, their element. And the blues for the calmness and true intelligence that is hidden beneath their own stereotypes.

Libra ::

And the scale, Libra- I would have went with a very golden color if not for their own stereotype. Spacey idealists. For that, I did go with a blue tone to represent the skies and galaxies, and I had to go with gold somewhere so why no better than the dust that floats around them as they think?

Scorpio ::

And these scorpions. I had to do some research on Scorpios as I never cared for them as much- living up to their mysterious name, eh? Though, there was one common factor for them. And I placed that a factor into this zolnixi if you look carefully. They too have a fiery passion as Aries do (despite being water and not fire), though it is for another subject. Dark and seductive I'd imagine them to be, and so the red brightness of them attracts others so none are too scared to come up to them.

Sagittarius ::

The archer. Sagittarius hides in the brush and waits for its prey, thus why it does not shine as brightly as other fire elements. The cool darkness of this zolnixi shows its own elegance and grace on its own- living up to the centaur-like hunter it represents.

Capricorn ::

Capricorns. Hard workers they are, just as Hermes is (as he travels to the Underworld to Earth, and then to the gods with many different titles). Unlike a normal earthen spirit, the have water mixed in their blood- being half fish as you should know. I did my best to keep it calm and blue, with a hint of greens and brown mixed in/.

Aquarius ::

Aquarius is an air element, rather than water despite its alias as water bearer. Yet still, I couldn't help but feel as though I needed lots of blue to make up for that fact, the purples and pinks for the skies when the sun sets simply. I find Aquarians to be quite intelligent, and so then steampunk fits that best, does it not?

Pisces ::

Fishies! An obvious fit for having ocean-like colors finally, and with such markings it almost looks to have fish bones. A simpler design yes, but a beautiful one at that. Pisces are the fish of humans, and great ones they are!

Ophiuchus ::

Ah. And my- to be honest- least favorite zodiac. They crept their way in after so many years, and then the Ophiuchus finally manages it. They get in the zodiac, corrupting the thoughts of everything we once knew. It only was best to me that I give it odd colors, and the mutations that allowed their true self to be seen. A snake that slithered its way in, but almost nobody thinks it should stay.
