I'm using safari. I can't access a lot of pages; all that appears is a blank white page and the following messages:
(homepage)
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
---------------------------------
(forums)
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forums/ on this server.
--------------------
The only differences in them are the parts after the /. Sometimes the message appears, sometimes it doesn't. When I tried to post this thread the first time, the message popped up again. The title of the page is 403 Forbidden (tab name; doesn't appear on the actual page), if I remember correctly.
--------------------
Now, it's saying that Sylestia's certificate is invalid, but I clicked connect anyways. But now it says that I need an admin username and password to access any sylestia pages. It also says that I'm trying to access the administration area of the site, when I'm only editing this post or going to the homepage. I've had to retype this at least 10 times already because of this |D I could barely edit the post. When I tried to edit the post, this appeared on a blank page:
(after clicking cancel on the password popup)
Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

@Rose,
Well, I know what the problem is but I have no idea why it's happening or how to fix it.
Basically, almost all of our accessible pages are without the actual page defined. So for example, you visit
http://www.sylestia.com/forums/
instead of:
http://www.sylestia.com/forums/index.php
The reason is the first one is easier and faster for users. For security and other reasons, we obviously deny access to our folders. But this isn't an issue because browsers are supposed to search for an index page and if there is an index page, it displays that.
For some reason, your browser is not being redirected to the index page and is simply trying to access the folder. Thus, the forbidden 403 errors.
I'll contact our Host and see if they can help.
In the meantime, have you tried using a different browser?

@Rose,
"This is very likely being caused by their browser. Ask the user to try clearing there browser cache and resetting the safari browser settings to default to see if it resolves their issue. Beyond this i have no explanation of why this issue is just isolated to one user."

@Krinadon,
It just suddenly started working in Safari without me doing anything, but it doesn't show the 'index.php' in any browser.

@Rose,
Yea, it shouldn't. Your browser just automatically loads the index page if you directly access a folder. That's how it's supposed to works as a standard across all mediums if you set your server to do that, which ours obviously is.
But, glad that it's fixed!
