I recently captured a Luffox but it did not appear in my stables and the trap was wasted. Then I tried to catch a Zolnixi, It said I captured it but I don't see it in my stables. I have 2 wasted traps now! So frustrating! Any problems similar to this?

Most likely, the pets are running away.
You can verify what happens with each Trap by reading the Battle Log after the turn.
If it failed, there is a chance the pet will run away from the battle.

It also said I defeated 0 pets and I gained 0 experience, no disrespect or anything but I don't think that's the case.

That's what happens if a pet runs away and it was the last enemy in the battle. It won't count for experience since it wasn't defeated.
