This is the information thread for the Furry (Anthro) RP, Roseoak High! Here you will find information on the school itself, some of the locations surrounding it, characters, and more. If you have any comments, complaints, or suggestions, don't be afraid to post them here or PM me.
If you have joined the RP, this is where you can place information about your characters and talk OOC (out of character.)

Roseoak High school:
A some-what fancy and rich High School, Roseoak has a reputation of intelligent students, some who are now teachers at the school.
While you think such a rich school would be extremely strict with their rules, Roseoak is quite relaxed and flexible with theirs. But, that doesn't mean there won't be teachers who might not be as relaxed as the school is.

The school is fairly large, circling around an outdoor plaza. Towards the back of the school, there is a large yard with a race track, swimming pool, and gymnasium. There is also a greenhouse and shed, allowing students to make gardens. A second, smaller plaza is also in the yard.

Inside from the entrance of the school, the principle's office is located to the right, with the staff lounge connected to it. To the left of the entrance, there is a janitor closet.
Across from the principle's office and janitor closet, there are steps that go down to this little dip, where announcements are made. Occasionally, plays are performed there.
To the left, there is a cafeteria. Inside the cafeteria to the right is a line of food and drinks, with a cashier at the end. The rest of the room is filled with tables.

From that building are a two other buildings where all the classrooms are held. Each classroom is the same size.

One of the remaining two buildings are where exams and other special test are held, and also where art, music, and occasionally science students can have more room for their projects. (The science fair is also held in this area)
The nurse has a building to themselves, to where the whole building is almost like a hospital.

La Luna Cafe:
A France inspired cafe located in Richmaple. It has foods and drinks that are native to France, with a mix of regular American foods and exotic foods.

Roguer & Huiet's Art Shop:
A small family owned shop located in Dogwood. It is filled with art supplies from all sorts of companies, for all grades of artists.
There are also classes that are held once a week. Art from artist are also sold in the shop.

A book store and cafe mix located in Roseoak. Since it is the closest to the school, students can often find copies of their text books. Students also like to hang around.
During the school year, the mornings and afternoons are the busiest, as students often buy food from here.

A hospital located in Roseoak.

Roseoak:
The location where the RP takes place. It's a fairly rich city, being richer than the school. It's not as busy of a city as Emerald City is, with more plain roads and wonderful views to see. Roseoak is known for having many oak trees with pink and red leafs planted around the city. Since the leafs on the tree looked like Roses, many people started to call them Roseoak, and that's how the city and the plant got it's name*.

Dogwood:
A city that neighbors Roseoak, it's pretty close distance from here to the school. It's not nearly as rich as it's neighbor is, and students families who don't have quite enough money to rent or buy a place in Roseoak can find one here.
Just like it's neighbor, it got it's name from some of the Dogwoods planted around the city.

Another neighboring city to Roseoak, but it's a farther drive from here to the school.
It's more middle class, but it's richer than Dogwood is.

Emerald City is one of the farthest cities from Roseoak, and many of the students have to get up early in the morning to be able to get to school on time.
It's a very busy city with many highways and people going from place to place.

This little town is located near Roseoak. While it may look scrappy and in ruins from place to place, it's quite a rich town. It is also know for it's bikers.

Personality: She's very caring, and pours love into her work at the cafe. She's also quite the romantic, often flirting with not only her employees, but her customers, too. She used to do this constantly, but once she saw that it caused employees to quit and customers to run away, she calmed down.
Backstory: Her mother French, and her father is American. She has taken a liking to her French side, and so made it her dream to make a France inspired Cafe. This was reinforced, as her mother is extremely ill, and she is trying to make enough money to not only help pay for medicine, but to give then enough money for a comfortable life.

Residence: A fairly large house in Dogwood.
Personality: Roguer is an outgoing and friendly guy, making sure that every customer has a personalized visit. He loves his brother dearly, and is over-protective of him.
Backstory: Ever since his parents left, he and his brother had to fend for themselves. He slowly become a fatherly figure for Huiet, and so their bond is very tight. Although he wants to meet their parents as much as Huiet does, he isn't quite sure how he feels about them

Personality: He's the opposite of his brother when it comes to his social skills, but he is still as caring of others. He hopes to find his parents some day, and to have a happy ending.
Backstory: His parents disappeared one day, causing him to shut himself away. He's slowly trying to become more social, but with how much stress and sadness the disappearance of his parents effects him, he has a lot of trouble.

Personality: She's aloof, and a bit snobbish. Although she tries to act friendly, especially towards her costumers, her real personality will show.

Occupation: Counselor/Guidance Counselor and Vice Principal
Residence: Lives in a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom House in Roseoak.
Personality: He is a silent individual when he is by himself. He usually gives a lot of details on how to solve a problem or situation. He's depicted as a "Nice Guy." but if you get on his bad side, which is kind of hard to do, he will hold a grudge for a few days, before eventually letting it go.
Backstory: Christopher was a only child, and his childhood was always lived through fear. He was constantly abused, physically and mentally, but has not gone insane. He put up with this for 18 years until he moved out and went to college. Due to his great ability to solve problems quickly and help other people, he landed the job as a Counselor.
Description and/or Image: He is 6'2 tall, and has a purple pelt. He will be usually seen wearing a Button Down shirt with blue jeans. He also has dark red hair, and somewhere between square and circle glasses.
Extra Info: He has a hard time understanding what "Love" is. He knows the dictionary definition, but he never felt it in his life.

Species: Wolf/Fox Hybrid (But kinda wimpy)
Occupation: Math Teacher at Roseoak High School
Residence: A small house with one bedroom and one bathroom, about 45 minutes walking distance to the school
Personality: Laid-back (Most of the time), Prefers to be alone (Not shy, just doesn't like other people/furries),
A bit stubborn, Pretty smart
Backstory: Winston originally dropped out of college Sophmore year, but went back when he was 20. He finished, and got his Bachelor's Degree in education. He searched for a job for about a month, then applied at Roseoak and finally got a job. He has worked at Roseoak for about a year.

Personality:mysterious and friendly, often pulls pranks within the school. Known to be overly sarcastic and sometimes rude. The "outcast" in some ways, sometimes skipping class.
Backstory:A foster child, she was taken away from her father for his abusive tendencies. Lives with the janitor, and thus lives on campus.

Backstory: Her mother died in a car crash while pregnant with her sibling. Her father was distraught and began drinking. He was not a very happy drunk, and Swish would lock herself in her room until he passed out. Her uncle came to take her away. (blah blah blah)

Backstory: His dad was a druggie, and his mom left him very quickly. He grew up with his mom, and was used to men coming and going from their house. They jumped from family to family, until his mom settled down with a nice Fox. They had kids, and Shorts was pretty neglected. His dad had died in a drunk driving accident, and he had nowhere to go. His mom sent him off to Roseoak High.

Personality: Cool and determined, and likes to push students to do their best. He also tends to be very optimistic about his subject.
Backstory: Oliver grew up in Richmaple with his mother, father and two siblings, and when he graduated high school he went to a university in Dogwood, receiving a degree in English Education. Then he applied for a job at Rosewood High school to teach Advanced English.

Occupation: A senior student at Roseoak High School, and works part time at La Luna Cafe
Residence: Lives on campus in one of the more expensive apartments.
Personality: Confident and competitive. Likes to remind others she is better then them in big public places (like school, or malls, ect.). But when she is with close friends alone or works at the cafe she is more shy and gentle with those around her.
Backstory: Adalia grew up happily in a rich family that lived in Emerald City, with her being the only child. But when her mother died when she was 8, her father became overcome with sorrow and locked himself away where Adalia hardly ever saw him. As years went by Adalia and her father became more and more poor and those at Adalia's rich school began to tease her. When Adalia turned 15 she had finally had enough and used the money she had left to move to Roseoak and start a new life there.
