So, I was wondering,

What if the pets you can capture while exploring were all the released pets?
I mean, wouldn't that kinda make sense?

You don't have to change anything, I just thought it might be a kind of neat idea.

This is highly unlikely because certain users release pets so that they can't be bought. (Think project pets that have taken players a LONG time to breed, but is a fail.) Essentially, a released pet still belongs to that player and that shouldn't change.

It's okay, I think it's a cool idea to see pets that exist/released again, like a sort of cameo thing. :)

It'd be cool to see em again just like how we see pet bosses: they're pretty-looking but we can't catch them, we just have to fight them.
It's more work to call back the image of an already-existing pet rather than randomizing one for the sake of battle though, plus it might confuse users who are out fighting.

I'm sure there's a ton of hidden gems in the released pet category that I'd love to see through a cameo-like feature, in the far future. ^^

Ohh flute I love that idea D: Released pets only for battling that you can encounter in the wild? Brilliant.
