I recently purchased a 2 TP re-gen Zolnixi and was going through the re-gen process when I realized that it wouldn't allow me to do a lot of the traits (Ocelot, Stubby Tail, Feather Dust, Spirit Wings, and a lot more). These aren't restricted traits as far as I know, so why am I not allowed to use them in re-generating my pet?

For regenerating pets, you can only use the traits that were available before the revamp. Any traits that were released during the revamp, or after, are not available for regeneration.

I'm not really sure what you're asking, since he does carry Spirit Wings. The question I was answering had to do with pets that are available for regeneration, like Chai here. You'll see she has writing under her picture that says:

*This Pet Can Re-Generate 6 Trait Points*

The owner of pets like these can take them into the generator and give them traits to fill those trait points because, in the past, these pets had their traits removed during art revamps. The traits that can be chosen for these pets are only the ones that were available before the art change though, so any traits released for those pets after are unavailable. Your pet is a regular generated sylesti, so the only things it couldn't have were restricted traits.

oh okay, I'm new so I came across this thread and got scared.

I thought maybe my pet would have spirit wings but it would never like show up on any pets. But thank you now I know.

Also now I know what "this pet can regenerate (# of points) means.
