((Lame title, but at the same time- who could ask for anything more? Anyone can join; just read the Sylestia Rp thread I started in the searching for Roleplayers forum. It will give you an idea of what we're doing, what we're looking for. If anyone has any questions or comments, try to keep them to that thread; so we can keep this one clear of OOC clutter. You don't have to ask if you can join, just read that thread and tell me you have read it by commenting in it. You don't have to make a character application, though you can if you have any questions at all, or want an opinion on your character. And you don't have to fill in anything on backstory that you'd rather reveal through rp.
Battles will be handled thusly: I will post when a battle starts in Red, and feel free to post yourself going crazy. Assume more of whatever enemy is coming until I say otherwise; keep fighting. We'll do that for a few posts; maybe the battle will last a few days so everyone gets a chance to post. Or not, depends on how things go. When I post that it is ending in red, that is when you should make your posts about fighting the last bandit/vorkid/whatever, and then we will regroup and continue on our adventure. Or, in the case of this first battle, when its done we'll all meet in Esior's Haven to start it. Now then... LETS GET READY TO RRRRRUMBLE.))
Bandits are attacking Esior's Haven!
Esior's Haven was getting attacked by bandits. Again. Cranberry clenched her teeth, and raced out the city gate to meet the charge. She gripped her rather evil looking staff; she joked it was decorated with baby Ny'vene wings, though in reality she had no idea what they were or supposed to be; it had been her grandmother's staff, and was highly useful for smacking bandits over the head. She looked out into the fields as she ran, squinting her reddish-brown eyes. It didn't look like a big group this time, probably just a small band of outlaws, more hungry and desperate than they were organized. But just the same, she couldn't let them attack her favorite city. There were people scattered all around the meadows that surrounded Esior's haven; people with one, two, some with three Sylesties, preparing themselves for the attack. Not too far from where she was there was a man with a pair of Slylvorpas, their moist swirled skin glittering emerald green and gold in the afternoon sunlight; the smell of the ocean radiating off them. In the other direction she spotted an elf sitting astride her Faelora, with a morkko on either side of her and a curved sword raised in readiness. Cranberry gave a smile and looked behind her, to her three strongest Vulnyxes; Solstice, her trusted companion who often seemed to read her mind; Equinox, her clever and magical golden beauty; and Luau Eclipse, her powerhouse who wasn't always very bright, but a lovely cat; fiercely loyal and rediculously strong. Sol, Nox, and Lu she called them; and loved them all dearly. She hated bringing them into battle, but they were good Vulnyxes, and even if she'd tried to hide, they probably would have run into battle without her to defend the town. And then who would heal them if they were hurt? So no hiding.
She narrowed her eyes, and somehow managed to look even more serious than usual, watching as the wave of bandits approached. And then, there they were. Some of the bandits also had Sylesties; and the battle was fierce. A bandit with an aurleon and a nytekrie charged; idly, Cranberry thought that if she were into Nytekries, she'd try to catch this one for herself. But she wasn't, and before the thought could progress further, Lu leapt to quickly attack the aurleon, slashing it across the wing; Nox cast a fireball at each Sylestie, and Solstice gave a growl as he bore the brunt of the Bandit's attack, before shaking it off and leaping to deliver a powerful blow to the purple haired bandit.
All around the field came the sounds of battle, including the clink of glass as Cranberry grabbed a healing potion and uncorked it, in readiness to help her vulnyxes. The Aurleon had already disappeared; flown away in retreat, and the Nytekrie looked ready to fall. Cranberry cringed as Equinox knocked it to the ground with a blast of fire, the scent of burnt feathers casting away the sweet smell of ocean from the nearby sylvorpas, and the scent of blood joining as Lu and Nox brought the bandit to his knees; killed or unconcious, Cranberry wasn't sure. There was no time to check; the next group was headed their way already.

"Dangit, how did they manage to invade us?! AGAIN?!" Star shouted in panic, as Pink Mango, her dear lupora, fended off a few more while she stabbed more men with her staff. (Sorry, I decided to have one of my pets with me ^^")
"Is there anyone who needs help?!" She shouted, looking over her shoulder. Just then, a bandit had almost sliced pink mango in the neck. A valuable part containing the esophagus.
"Oh NO he didn't!" Star said, shaking her finger in the air with a hint of sass XD. She pounced at him with her ears high alert and punched him over and over, while Pink mango stole his weapons.
"I ain't gon put mercy on you!" Star shouted, plunging attacks at all range. Once she was done with him, she looked back. More bandits.
"ANYONE HELP MEEE?! I HATE THESE FRIGGIN BANDIIIIITS!" She wailed in anger. Why would there always be so many?!

(no worries ^^ kind of need one for this scene)
A short distance away, there was a sickening crack as Cranberry brought her staff down across the skull of a bandit who'd managed to knock Equinox unconcious. "You lousy piece of myconid spore." The bandit dropped like a bag of laundry, and Solstice had the presence of mind to sit up on his hind paws and raise a forepaw. She gave him a high five before dropping to her knees and uncorking a bottle of potent smelling, bubbling green liquid which she upended into the almost-white and gold Vulnyx's throat. The feline coughed and sputtered, and pinned her ears back at the taste; but her pale pink eyes opened. She struggled to her feet and gave a nod, indicating she was all right; and Cranberry reached into her bag for a health potion to strengthen the wounded vulnyx. As she gave it to her, she heard a cry; and saw a rather unfair number of bandits heading towards a brilliantly colored lupora and an equally brilliant colored... fairy? No, not with that tail and ears. An enhanced human; a Zolnixi-girl.
"Let's go even out the odds. Look, if they get through her, they'll make it to the side gate. We can't let that happen!"
Lu and Nox gave a nod; Solstice gave a low growl and seemed to grin before charging ahead to help the lupora and the Zolnixi-girl. Cranberry shook her head, making one of the little flowers in her hair fall out, and then she ran to catch up to him. He already had thrown himself onto one of the bandits, and had his nose to the bandit's, sitting on his chest. He was growling and grinning, and the bandit beneath him looked like he wasn't sure if he should scream or not, unsure of if that would provoke the large cat that was now toying with him. A pair of small fireballs landed in the large group of bandits attacking the Zolnixi-girl, causing a few pained yelps, courtesy of Equinox. Lu had gone over to the weapons that the lupora had stolen, picked up the bandit's knife in his mouth and was chasing another bandit with it; why the bandit was afraid exactly, Cranberry wasn't sure, but then he didn't know that Lu wasn't very smart. Maybe he thought this was a clever Vulnyx who maybe could fight with a weapon; as if their teeth, claws, and occasional magic weren't enough. There was a loud 'oof' as Cranberry jammed the end of her staff into a bandit's stomach.
"They get worse every day, I swear! But at least they're not Myconids." She called to the Zolnixi girl as she fought, watching her beat the bandits to a pulp. And then suddenly, Cranberry stopped and gave a pained yell as one of the bandits with a bow and arrow sent one through one of her delicate wings, tearing the thin, scarlet membrane open though it did not bleed.
"Yeeeaaarrrggh! Curse your eyes! Come close and fight with honor, you coward!"
She blinked a few times, trying to keep her eyes from watering, though her wing hurt badly. She watched in satisfaction as Nox hurled a fireball at the bandit with a bow, and his hair caught on fire.
"Oooh. Nice shot, Noxie."
The pale vulnyx grinned, and they resumed fighting the mob that was trying to get through to the side gate.

"Myconids?! You mean those dang mushroom monsters?! I'd rather battle them over bandits anyday!" Star claimed, as she ordered her lupora to pounce on several more bandits in a few minutes.
"Fire in the hollllle!" Star shouted excitedly, as her lupora took a breath and blew a cold, icy breath towards a few bandits, which caused them to freeze their feet. They couldn't move their legs, but rather the upper part of the body.
Once the bandits were in fewer groups, star began to become a bit over excited, as she thrashed around her staff, stabbing all the bandits she could find and jumped about crazily.
"YAHOOOOO!" She said, and jumped around as her sylesti followed, knocking over every few enemies she saw along the way.

"What?" Cranberry asked in shock. Not at the fact that Luau had actually managed to stab one of the bandits and was now carrying him around in his jaws like a dead bird; but at the fact anyone thought that there was anything in life worse than a Myconid. Equinox was singing bandits left and right; though she was careful to aim her flames away from the bandits that the lupora had so deftly frozen. She gave a call out; a chirpy sort of yodel. Presumably she was complimenting the lupora's magic skills. Solstice had long since moved on from terrifying bandits to tearing them apart;his fur was a little sticky with the blood of bandits he'd caused to hemorrage all over the place.
"There is nothing worse. You can't punch them, they just squish. And... I live in Fungus Grove. Can you imagine what it would be like if little pieces of your house came to life and started attacking you? It's a twisted nightmare." She shuddered and motioned for Lu to drop the bandit and keep fighting. The grey cat blinked, looked around, realized there were more bandits to play with and realized that there were a lot of bandits that couldn't move from the waist down. So he started knocking them over one by one. He poked one, and she went over, falling and flailing into the guy next to her, who knocked down the bandit next to him. Luau grinned and raised a paw with mighty sharp claws to tend to the first fallen bandit. Cranberry resumed her own fighting now that he was attacking again.
"Also, come on. These bandits stink, but nothing like a rotten Myconid Reaver. Ew..." The bandit she was fighting immidiately looked offended and muttered something about not having luxury baths out at their campsites before taking a swing at her. "Well, if you weren't EVIL you could live in town and have a bath!" She responded before knocking the girl unconcious.

( LOL dat bandit look so offended OmO )
"YOU LIVED IN A MUSHROOM?! " Star said, as she jumped quickly over to the red head. "What was it like?! Who lived there?! COULD YOU EAT THE MUSHROOM?!" She said, and pranced around some more until her lupora, who had calmed down, told Star to stop being in a frenzy for now.
Her lupora looked sick by the scent of blood, but was accustomed to the sight of it. The dead, decaying bodies and...UGH...that sight of that other vulnyx, who had been around town. Vulnyx...that weird fox-wolf thing? Any who, the one that was more violent and crazy like her owner, star. It, or rather, he looked liked his mane was covered in blood even if it was naturally red, and she believed she heard his name once. Solstice...she guessed? The lupora gracefully jumped her way to the other vulnyx, who seemed to be complimenting her little skill she had learned in a high mountain range, one with high cold weather.
She learned on how to keep her ice cold breath and use it to her advantage, but the vulnyx girl seemed a lot more talented. She could aim FIRE BALLS! However, the lup had not asked for her name before and was curious to know it. She tried to compliment the vulnyx girl's skills by responding to the previous compliment contrary to her, and it sounded like a high pitched howl of some sort, like a festival yell.
Pink mango wished to learn an art of water as well, but it had been a bit far too complicated than she had imagined. She snuck back to her owner, and was ducking all of the fighting with the bandits and guards.
She gave a low yowl to the bloodred colored vulnyx, as if a sign of approval of a worthy opponent and comrade. She knew that Solstice, the bloody vulnyx, would come to make a great offender/attacker!
She saw Solstice's owner, and gave a small shy nudge to the girl's leg, like a request of friendship.

(For character info and info about the 3 sylesties she has with her see: http://www.sylestia.com/forums/?t=3717&page=3#21 it's on page 3)
Amber was walking around with her 3 pets surounding her. Black was walking right of her, Nameless on her left and high in the sky was Balerion. Flying far enough so he would not scare humans, but close enough so he could keep an eye on Amber.
Amber often worried if Balerion would fly away. He sometimes did, but he always ended up comming back. Balerion was new and wild. She had a tough time making him accept her. But she knew she had earned his respect and for that she was glad.
She was close to a town. Good she could really use some new elixers.
When she entered the town she got a lot of stares. She looked a bit unusual for a human, with her white hair and big sword on her back even though she was only 1,60 tall. It wasn't commen for girls to use big swords.
Her friends also got a lot of looks. They did look intimidating. Her new friend in de sky most of all. Better to keep him up there for now. Good thing he loved flying.

"Well... yeah." Cranberry couldn't help but give a half-smile, though her eyes flickered to search for more bandits; she couldn't help but suspect that one last wave might show up at any second. "Could you tell me what is it like to live in a house? I am not sure what you mean. You can eat them, yes; but house mushrooms aren't very good, they're very earthy and woody tasting." Her eyes sparkled a bit, amused by the girl's interest. "Have you never been to Fungus Grove? Maybe not the part we live in, I suppose; it's pretty deep in and rather high up. If you like, we could go and... Oh, Solstice. Ew."
Her eyes fell on her Vulnyx, who was sticky with blood. She sighed. He enjoyed this maybe a little too much. Solstice however was not listening to her. He was positively beaming the widest grin to the pretty and brightly colored Lupora. "Buurrrreeeaarrr." His voice was deep and strong, but the sound was friendly and almost chirping; clearly he thought well of the Lupora too. Equinox too, was smiling shyly, pleased to have been complimented. Her tail curled, and a rumble started in her throat, purring to the Lupora in friendship. She then gave Solstice a lick to get some of the blood off his fur. Luau was staring off into the horizon, looking equally noble and oblivious; a regal, powerful but stupid king gazing into the distance.
A sudden nudge at her leg made her look down to see the lupora. Cranberry's face suddenly softened, the cautious, hard look about her suddenly gone, as she kneeled by the bright canine. "Hey there, pretty girl. You're quite the fighter. Do you need a healing potion? How are you feeling?" Her hands very lightly ran over the lupora, looking for damage; and giving her a gentle pat at the same time. "Strong and pretty."
At that point, a broad shadow soared over them. Cranberry's heart leapt into her throat. "I told her to stay home," the fairy muttered, one hand still resting in Mango's bright fur. And then she looked up, and realized it was not her Ny'vene. Not that her Ny'vene was really hers; it just had decided to nest in her Aurleon stable. It would be hers, though, she would win it over. But the Ny'vene soaring overhead was black, not the brilliant sun-yellow of her Victoire. Luau's concern was then justified; a hidden batch of bandits squealed and ran when they saw the shadow, disappearing back into the forest.
Lu watched the bandits run, and then he trotted back to the group, satisfied that the battle was ending. And if Lu was satisfied, then Cranberry was; the vulnyx wasn't smart, but he had an amazing instinct for when it was okay to relax.
"Actually, I came to town to look for brave adventurers like you; we'd have to pass through Fungus Grove anyway. And you seem trustworthy. What's your name?" She asked the lupora's owner, and then she spotted a girl with the biggest sword she'd ever seen. Her narrow eyes widened. "And like her... I wonder if she owns the Ny'vene over head? That would be a useful sort of person to have on an expedition." She mused, twirling her strange staff between her fingers, as the three vulnyxes pounced on the Lupora, each cat licking themselves and each other; and the lupora, to clean the battle dust and blood from their furs. They'd already accepted the canine as a friend, apparently.

The lupora was startled by the sudden close bond she had created with the 3 vulnyxes, but was quickly getting used to it and was going along with everything like a family member. She could leave her owner for a second...right?
"The name's Star! Star Fall. Pretty crazy name, right? Ah well, uhhhhmmmm..." Star pondered more about her info about herself, and Mango, for a second, could swear she saw a lightbulb flicker on and off on her owner's head.
"I own a breeding farm! My ma and pa one by themselves as well, and it's far better than mine though." She shook her head, as if changing to another topic.
"Nah, never been to Fungus Grove. My pa HATES those mushroom houses. 'Says them mushrooms too ugly to be around. He's afraid they gonna attack my ma and me and kill us. You know how dads are, over protective some of the times." She said to the red head. "But enough about me," She grinned. "How 'bout you? Name? Family? I'd love to hear more about you " She smiled to the girl.
"Pink mango's already accustomed to those sylesti's of yours, they're nice and warm to be around I see."

Amber walked into a store. Leaving her pets outside for now. Black and Nameless nodded to her and waited outside.
Inside the shop she baught some elixers and potions. She also restocked some nets, food for her sylesties, and food for herself. She could hunt, and her sylesties could hunt even better, but she prefered not to take lives if she didn't have too. And her sylesties liked that special sylestie food well enough. Well all but her newest winged friend that is.
The people in the shop also stared at her. She was kinda hard to miss in her black/white outfit, long white silver hair and intimidating sylesties and sword.
'How much for all this?'
The shopowner looked her up and down.
'50.000 gold please.'
She was paying when a small boy walked to her. 'Are you a boy or a girl? Is that sword heavy? Where did you get it? Are those sylesties outside your? Are they strong? They seem strong. That Lupora looks cool. I never have seen a black/white Lupora before. Hey did you style your clothes after your Lupora?'
Amber just looked at the boy. Ok she knew she was a bit build for a girl, and didn't wear girl clothes or make up or styles her hair but to be confused for a boy.... it probably was the sword's fault. Lucky for her she learned how to deal with a lot of questions.
' I'm a girl, the sword is kinda heavy but you get used to it, I made it myself in a sword shop, the owner helped me get materials and tought me how to make it, the sylesties are mine but I do not own them. They are my friends more then my posesion, they are pretty strong but they can grow much stronger still, I will tell him you tought he was cool, he will like that, and no I did not style my clothes after my Lupora, I had this outfit before him.'
The boy looked with big eyes and smiled. His mother pulled him away before he could ask anything else, scolding him in the corner.
The shop owner gave her her stuff. 'There you go miss, good luck on your travels.'
'Thank you.'
Amber took her stuff and walked back outside. Once again she felt eyes staring at her. It was different this time. She looked around trying to trace who was looking at her. Her sylesties did the same.
