I don't mean paying to un-release pet we ourselves have released; I mean buying the rights to unrelease someone else's. For example, person A has released *the perfect* pet for person B, person A could transfer or sell the pet to person B so it is now as if person B had released it and they can now reclaim it.

At the moment if I wanted a pet someone else has released, I would have to PM them to ask, of course, then they would have to ask for 50 diamonds in exchange for 1G in the currency exchange, and then after I accept it I would have to trust that they would sell me the pet.

The current system works fine and I have never been ripped off by anyone (Sylestia's users are all so nice!) but maybe as the site becomes bigger it could be a thing?

edit: one of my sentences made no sense, hopefully it does now

This is highly unlikely because certain users release pets so that they can't be bought. (Think project pets that have taken players a LONG time to breed, but is a fail.) Essentially, a released pet still belongs to that player and that shouldn't change.

The users that released the pets initially would have to put the released pet up for sale, like a normal pet.

It's like a Sylestia summoning black market I suppose.

I release hundreds of my own pets I don't want for my projects and I wouldn't accept someone's PM request asking me to sell it, but if someone wanted to spend 50 diamonds to reclaim one of the low end tagged I released or some random standard pet I would be able to choose a price like I would a non-released pet. But when they got it, it would still be released, they would have to spend the diamonds on it. It's like changing this:

This pet has been released.
Last Owner: Deathdust
Birthday: 01-05-2013 7:30:09PM

to

This pet has been released.
Last Owner: greysocks232559
Birthday: 01-05-2013 7:30:09PM

on a pet.

I don't support this because this is basically circumventing the diamonds needed to get extra stables and that'll directly impact the sites income. People could literally just release everything and sell everything for 50diamonds + some and that way have endless storage space. Releasing even comes with a safety popup cause it's supposed to be final. Keeping the ability to buy and sell pets that have been released would defeat the purpose of Krin and Fai's release function entirely as it wouldn't be taken seriously anymore, all you'd be losing is the ability to breed. Way too gamebreaking, sorry.

Edit to add: Plus there's nothing stopping you putting a price on released pets people contact you to buy now? You pick up their diamonds before you reclaim the pet and then set the price for the gold amount.

They wouldn't be bought from the other player for diamonds from other players, but I do understand where you're coming from. It would depend a lot on the honor system. :/
