I'm sure some of you here work in retail or customer service or food service or SOMETHING that deals with the general public. PLEASE share some of your funny/weird/creepy/etc customer encounters here. I love hearing stories from other customer service peeps that we can all relate to.

Also, if you want to share what kind of work you do that's also cool! :)

I work at PetSmart and I am a dog groomer there. One time I was heading to the bathroom and, on the way, two older ladies stopped me to ask about lightweight kitty litter. I showed them a couple different brands and they ended up picking one that was on a shelf a little higher up. Some of the lightweight litters are on higher shelves because, obviously, they are easier to lift. So, I go to help this old lady get the litter off the shelf but she decides to scream in my face "WHY DON'T YOU PUT IT UP HIGHER!!!" So I ended up just leaving the litter on the shelf and walking away.

I used to work in a restaurant that was in a retail store. Because of this, customers could just walk in to the restaurant - there was no door I could close to keep them out.
Next to the restaurant were the washrooms and there was a sign that said washrooms on it, with an arrow, that pointed more to them. We would have customers walk in, sometimes while we were closing - with all of the chairs up and lights off, confused as to where the washrooms were. I had one kid walk past me and try to go into the closed kitchen while I was emptying the cash register, thinking the washroom was back there.

I also had a group of four customers come in and sit down at a table as I was closing. The lights were off and I was putting the last few chairs up. They were so angry when I told them we were closed!
