Out of 8 recent rares, I've caught zero. They all flee except for the last one that demands a fight to the death once I run out of nets... These two made me miss my boss battle. :K

I should get another team together, these fights are starting to take longer and longer. :K

However, the thought of catching a high level rare Sylesti is hard to pass up....

Oh yeah, the game mocked me again by given me an eggling in the treasure chest.

Has anyone else had troubles with catching rare Sylesti recently?

understand how hard it can be sometime to get a Rare~ ^w^"
I don't always have hard time, just find it hard to lose 2.5k
each time I try(the price of a Standard trap what)~ o.o"

I have only bumped into ONE rare... what particular situations render the best results for running into one (or more)?

Rares only begin to show up in the wild past Level 25.

Other than that, you can find them during special Events.

The only thing I've been able to tell so far is the level of the dungeon/event. The higher/further you are in, the more chance for a rare to pop up.

Such as the Esior's Raid (for example). Rare Sylesti will only start showing in round three of the fighting (last stage before Tyrielle). Presumably (at least for the time being) they won't appear until the latter part of the Bandit dungeon as well (though so far the only rares I've encountered there are mini-bosses).

Hah, I can't seem to manage to catch uncommons otl. . . the Lesser Snare trap from the beginning is supposed to work, right? Or is there a trick to it. . . .?

I usually have more than 1 trap to catch a pet. It's totally random how many traps it takes for me to catch a pet. Sometimes it can be 1-2, and other times it can be 5+. What helps apparently is to get its health down, but any trap works.

With the nets, I have the best results in regards to using only one net when the pet is under 3% and decent results under 5%. But I use the standard nets, not the lesser, though I have caught high level pets with the lesser.

If you want, I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya . I usually have a little bit of luck with catching rares, sicne I buy like 5 standard nets and cross my fingers xDDD . So, want me to help you catch some? I'm in the 40s <3

I buy like 21something nets and cross my fingers. FD; But I'm looking for epic pets (pets that are 2vis, show up at lvl50), and those are super rare.

Otherwise, I just steamroll over rare pets unless they look interesting. On rare occasion apparently (super rare, don't let this influence your catching), killing them can give you an essence of their kind, so I wish that could happen to me. xD
