Prologue:

The wind howled. Shivers raced up her back, crawling along her neck. She shuddered and pulled her black cloak tighter around her thin frame. Her dark hair swirled around her, whipping back and forth in the night. She was standing, staring. Staring at the second figure in a black cloak in front of her. He was taller than her by a good foot, his cloak flapped loosely in the wind and his hood blew off revealing wind-blown, dark hair.

"Where are we?" asked the first figure, a female. Her voice wavered with fear and uncertainty. She had a few good reasons not to trust the person in front of her.

"A hidden place," responded the second figure, his voice steady and strong.

"Why did you bring me here?" asked the first figure.

The second figure turned around, a flash of lightning lit up his features. A handsome face, dark, shining eyes. In his hand appeared a swirling ball of dark blue.

Fear coursed through the first figure, "You wouldn't...you can't....you--"

"I can, I will," said the second figure and he threw the ball at the first figure. It engulfed her in a swirl of blue fire and then disappeared in a flash. All that was left of her was her torn cloak, singed and in shreds.

I decided to have a go at writing stories on here. This is my first attempt, and I'm eager to see how you guys liked it!! Any suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated. Currently I actually write books on Google Docs, and I'm on page 39 of a really good one :D
