I recently got a Regular Vulnyx Essence from nurturing a Vulnyx Hatchling in my hatchery. So I'm wondering how this works. If you do get an essence from nurturing, will it always be the same species as the Sylestie you got it from? Or is it completely random?

The essence will be of the species you nurtured when you got it.

So some people, if they're looking for a particular essence, will search for all the eggs/hatchlings of that species to nurture until they find the essence.
