Anyone had those weird times when they nearly came face first into death?
If you have, then feel free to post what happened in this thread :D!

I'll start off.

The house fire:
I was just sleeping in my bed, not dreaming of anything, when my dad ran into my room, picked my and my lil' sis out of our beds and carried us outside onto the path bare footed, as we didn't have any time to put at least some socks on, dad ran back into the house and brought mum out the house. I didn't realise what was going on, I just seen black smoke coming out from our open front door. that meant there was a fire. My mum took us to our next-door neighbours' house. I was shaking. It wasn't my fault. I just couldn't stop shaking was all, I wasn't afraid, that affect had worn off, and the fire trucks were here, so the fire would be put out soon. But what we lost in that fire, I don't know what. All I know is that we definitely had lost some things. My dad was outside talking (I think) with the fire men. After we were taken to nan's and granddad's ,
and came back when the house was repaired. I don't know what started that fire, but I later learned that there was an explosion that the fire had caused that alerted my dad to get us and get out the house. Also, it seemed to have started off from the kitchen, right below my bedroom. Imagine, if that explosion hadn't gone off though, we would of still have been in that house, and I wouldn't be here.... scary. Everything is fine now, nothings was too badly damaged. (exept the stuff we threw out) and I have like, everything a kid could ask for :D ... Well... I do want a puppy, im still working on that XD - that was my 'Near death experience' what was yours?

Once, I was walking home from school when I was younger, and a car was coming at me full speed. I tried moving out of the way, but I slipped on ice and fell down. The car stopped, thankfully...

I nearly choked to death on peanut butter. It was some kind of allergic reaction that caused my throat to swell up. The doctors could never figure out what caused it, because it wasn't an allergy to peanuts. Admittedly I had been eating the stuff for about a week straight, prior. So I may have overloaded my poor body or something, lol. Nowadays, I cannot smell peanut butter without cringing a bit.

And if that weren't enough, I nearly got crushed to death.

We get gum trees in Australia, and they have a tendency to randomly drop huge branches...

An old house I lived in quite a few years ago happened to have a gum tree in it (it was on the neighbours side but hung over onto ours). I was messing around outside while there had been this horrific creaking sound coming from it all morning. It got to the point where mum had to call me inside because I think she was a bit worried. I ran up the path underneath the ghost gum and I got to the other side. I turned around to see a huge friggen chunk of tree plummet to the earth where I had just been. It broke the fence, and may very well have broken me.

When I was a child, my grandmother, grandfather, older sister and I went to the carwash. For some reason, the wash did not dry our car at all, and our tires were wet. Well, we went to pull out on the road and my Grandpa gunned it, since there was a truck that had come around the corner. Well, that was a bad move. The car spun a full three times, and miraculously, we were not hit and managed to drive off safely, if shaken from the incident. But for the grace of God, we would be dead.

A bit more recently, my older sister, roommate, and my five year old niece were all in my car with me. We were on our way to eat dinner at one of the local Mexican restaurants. It is off of a very busy highway. I had missed the entrance, and signaled to pull into a convenience store across the street. This IDIOT behind me decided that he didn't want to slow down, so he tried to pass me on the shoulder. I did not see him, and as a result, he was about three inches from hitting my car. he was forced into the ditch to avoid us, and had my sister not alerted me to the fact that he was trying to pass me, he likely would have hit me. At the 65+MPH he was going, and my little mess of a car, he could have easily killed us all.

I live in a mostly rural area, and as a result, there are a CRAP TON of horrible drivers. So there's mine. Reading everyone else's experiences, I feel I got off pretty easily.

This happened yesterday D:
Ok, so I'm walking down the street to my apartment, watching a nice animation. WHEN SUDDENLY an ad pops up about the finale of Gravity Falls. I get exited and start to run home, (so that I could watch the Weirdmaggedon pt.2) when suddenly, a drunk-o-drivar crashes into the street right behind me. If it weren't for that ad, i'd be dead ;O. Thx Hirsch...

One time I was at my grandparents house in the forest. I was walking with my cousin to the pond. When we got there we saw smething moving in the water(keep in mind they live in East Texas). We threw a rock at it and saw 2 eyes poking out of the water. It started swimming towards us! We started running back, but then my cousin tripped on a root! My brother has been popping firecrackers all week, and right at the right time he popped one. It scared the thing in the water and it went back in the water

Moral of the story is: POP FIRECRACKERS ALL DAY LONG

One time I was innocently talking to my friends at school when this girl I didn't like came up and choked me. My friends tried to help but they got hurt and in on point of time they started doing something like that of tug of war, except my body was the rope. And she also gave me death threats but after a while I managed to run away from her.

Also, in second grade, I had an earlier experience. I was for some reason chasing a lizard. Yes, don't ask me why but I was. I didn't see it at that time but there was a diamond back rattlesnake a few inches in front of me. If you don't know what those are, they are the most poisonous rattlesnakes in North America. Then someone shouted at me to move and then some stupid boy went and grabbed it. I would question the sanity of someone grabbing a rattlesnake
It slithered away and I snapped out of shock and I started running. Turns out, almost no one believed me.
Two years later a poisonous snake was found on school grounds and everyone was kept inside while some special people had to come to take it away..

You see, my mom is a rural mail carrier. When i was still developing in her, a dog flew out of the bushes and attack her. Thankfully, she had a very large package between her stomach ane the dog. If the packagehad been smaller, I would never have even been born. Mom learned later the sweet dog she once knew had a stroke, and even tried to attack its owners A few days later, the dog disappeared. The male owner had shot the dog. Sorry for any mistakes,Im on mobile.
