So the other day I noticed that the 22nd of January is going to be my one year Sylestia Anniversary! I figured that I might try doing my own (and first! ^.^) competition to celebrate! So here goes nothing...
Welcome to the Card Game!
The aim of the game is to create a Sylesti based on a card (out of a general 52 card pack of cards) that I assign you. Sounds difficult?
The point of the game is to be as inventive as possible. For example, If you end up with the 6 of clubs, you could design a Sylesti based soley on the card. i.e. A 6 trait black and white Sylesti or you could create a sylesti based loosley on the card; 6 golf clubs or anything else that springs to mind.
I'll be assigning the cards through a random generator, but I'll try to ensure that everyone gets a different card. ^.^ (Sorry if you don't... >.<)
Rules
Please remember to ping me, I'll tell you your card over PM and then put it in the list below so if everyone pings then I'll be able to keep this nice and organised and won't miss anyone out by mistake! ^.^
Please put your inspiration! It doesn't necessarily have to be a picture, just a sentance telling me why you've chosen the design you have.
Please don't copy other peoples designs. It doesn't matter if they're similar but exact copies will be ignored. (Putting your inspiration will help! ^.^)
Most importantly please be nice and have fun!
Prizes
1st place will get a Perfume of Themed Attraction, a Prismatic Philter, a Lesser Genetic Mutator and If they want, a baby from one of my projects! (Cherry Blossom Nephini and Fluoride Lunemara - Note: the Lunemara project is still in progress ^.^')
2nd place will get a Prismatic Philter and a Lesser Genetic Mutator!
3rd place will get a Lesser Genetic Mutator!
All the participants that enter a design will receive 10,000G as a "thank-you-for-playing" gift!
I'll be judging according to how inventive the design is, and how well the colours and mutations work together with the design. ^.^
Dates
Card assignments will continue until Sunday the 24th of January 12:00pm Sylestian time. Card assignments are now over.
The contest will end on Febuary 1st 12:00pm Sylestian time.

2 of Hearts Bulbori
One of the reasons I chose the Bulbori to represent the 2 of Hearts is because I've always felt that they are the cutest of the sylesti breeds. The tuft around their neck also reminds me of a heart shape. I used the colors of the playing card as the base of my design. I then added the Lovely Hearts mutation to pull the card type into the design more.

To me the suit of clubs represents death, and as such I have created the Death Watch Griffi. The skull regalia represents the grim reapers death shroud; the manticore wings are to symbolize hell from which he came and last but not least lucky runes to represent the club symbol... sadly they can't have 7 traits

Sorry its tiny! I don't really know how to insert a picture...
I think the icicle orbs look a lot like diamonds and the jewels are like diamond jewelry to me.
