So I've noticed around that a few members are actually fans of World of Warcraft. I've been playing on and off since Vanilla and used to play the RTS games from an even younger age.

So, Do people still play and what are your thoughts on the new expansion Legion??

I was honestly obsessed with WoW but sadly after the hype of Vanilla and Wrath. I mostly played during Mists. I was on the top raiding guild on my server and was playing non stop. Unfortunately, I had to quit because even my grades were suffering and in nursing school they give us a pretty high bar. (76% is passing).

I haven't honestly touched WoW since about the time the garrisons were launched back with Warlords. As for Legion I'd also be curious to know how the new Expac is. I think it is awesome they launched a whole thing with Illidan and are trying to bring back the feeling of Burning Crusade however I just don't think it is still going to save the game. Most of the Lore I fell in love with was all the original or from Vanilla.

Evil evil WoW. I still play though it's been a couple weeks because I got sucked into the festival on here. I used to raid a lot but my real weakness is leveling. I love trying out new characters. I've leveled every class to max more than once, mostly due to changing servers. Eventually I got into battleground healing. That turned out to be more fun than I expected. I even got to the point where I wasn't all grr in them and was the one begging my hubby to come in them with me lol

@Faeli: Honestly. There's so many people out there that are like... omg Vanilla was the best. Bring back Vanilla... but if they did, they'd whine about how crap things are. It's not all it's cut out to be.

I'm maining a Paladin tank, but social anxiety has spread to wow and now I'm struggling to get into pugs and I don't raid, so I've gone and leveled my first ever character, a hunter, I made back in Vanilla and I'm maining her. She's already surpassed my Pala tank in Gear but that's kinda because Huntards are about the only class I can PVP on.

I'm a little hyped for the Demon Hunter class and the artifacts, bit unsure about the storyline lore wise but well I'm starting to learn that blizzard have stopped caring about that jazz and that I should stick to the books for my lore fix.

@Evilmaracas: I'm not a big fan of pvp at all. As I mentioned above the only class I can PVP on is a hunter. I used to pvp with her in vanilla when I first joined. I even have one of the pvp titles from Vanilla "Private" I was close to the second one but then the pvp system changed and the titles were no longer available XP

I used to do PVP healing in Wintergrasp back in Wrath with a Druid and I did quite enjoy it. I've really liked all the world battlegrounds such as Wintergrasp, Tol Barad and now Ashran, but I've never really liked all the Battlegrounds.

I have so many Alts. XD I'm a real sucker for leveling alts and making new ones. I've played everyclass and most to high level. At 100 I have a Paladin, Hunter, 2 Druid(one was my free level boost with Legion for professions achieve), Rogue and a Mage. I also have a high level Shaman, Priest, and Warlock, they'd be 100 by now if it wasn't for the fact that I play them with my fianc XD. I'm Full on my Main server and I have almost filled the connected server XP

I first started back in the days of vanilla and quickly became addicted. I Once I hit 60 I really enjoyed raiding with my guild.. even though we struggled through most of it. I really enjoyed the fact that we had to work together as a team, farming pots and actually using strategy to beat those bosses that gave us a hard time. One of my best memories of the game was the day BC came out when I went out exploring with a small group of friends, we were on vent talking and it was really great to see all the new content, and hear people's reaction to the new content. "OMFG WTF IS THAT THING?! FEL REAVER!? OMG I'M DEAD, WTF!?" I continued playing through the end BC but by that point most of my guild and friends stopped playing or moved to different servers and I haven't enjoyed the game as much since.

I still play occasionally here and there. I think they've made a lot of great changes to the game for people who aren't the die hard raiders, but in the end the game is just to easy now. I remember having to struggle and work for the accomplishments, farming for hours days weeks to get the materials for crafted armor, potions and food.

As for Legion, I waiting anxiously (like I have for every expansion) but have a feeling I'll be disappointed again (like I have been with every expansion after BC). I'm not going to lie and say I won't play it because I know myself and obviously will have to throw MORE money at Blizzard to see what's new, but I know that I'll never enjoy the game as much as I used to back in the day.

My first main character was Knome, the gnome mage. My second love (and after hitting level 70, my main) is my Enhancement/Resto Shaman Sophea. I remember, back at lvl 70, single-handedly guarding one of the towers in AV against 3 new-70 horde characters as resto.. they did not expect me to put up such a fight and it was amazing. hah.

I never thought I'd pvp but I got talked into it and eventually started liking it. Then we moved to a pvp server and I had to get batter at it or be stuck at level 10 lol. Back when Wintergrasp was the big thing I never pvp'd but I did raid quite a bit. I really enjoyed the Lich King stuff. More than once I've reached the limit of total characters you can have on the game. I have to admit some of them were just name holders for some random thing that made me laugh when I couldn't sleep at night. I can't really say I have a main because I don't raid right now (just don't have the free time for it) and I just level whatever I'm in the mood for. Nowadays I'm back on a normal server and spend a lot of the time talking to friends on there.

I remember the days of the Fel Reaver hahaha! my lord that thing terrified me when I heard the rumble XD. I never used to raid in Vanilla since I never actually hit cap during vanilla. I did raid in BC. We did kara so many times; we didn't ever get any further since we could never pull together a big enough group to do the 25s instead of the 10 man kara.

I've been disappointed with the last two expansions.... Pandas..... just no. And the whole go back in time and to an alternate dimension was just silly lore wise. They just wanted to brag about some of the lore based characters that people didn't know about cos not many read the books. But for the ones who do read the books its just like. NO! You can't kill him like that! I don't care if it's an alternate dimension!!

Legion I'm optimistic about since they are delving back into some of the old storylines, especially around the BC ones like the Illidari Demon Hunters. I watched the demo of the demon hunter starting zone and they made a nice little comment about "The Black Temple is being attacked." which refers to the time when we as players were raiding BT. Kinda like it's bringing the story full circle.

I've always been on a normal server. And I've always been in the same guild. (I'm now guild leader of said guild haha), so I've not really had that problem where I get ganked on a pvp server. I'm not very good at pvp, never have been. The only reason I can pvp on a hunter is because I practised. And PVP healing is pretty much the same as PVE except alot more hiding :P

My mains are only listed as such cos they are the ones I spend all my time doing dailies on an all that. I'm working on the legendary quest chain on my Hunter, but since i'v not raided in forever I'm a little apprehensive.

Every once in a while I like to go back and one-shot the fel reaver.. makes me feel better after all the fear he caused over the course of all my characters hah. I've done Kara so many times. >.< I didn't do a whole lot in the 25-mans either because I was in a smaller, tight-knit guild and it was near impossible to plan a large scale raid without partial pugs.

The whole time traveling theme was just the worst. Made no sense to me. I am indifferent towards the pandas.. but I also didn't really play Pandaria when it was new so I didn't have to deal with all the crap the people complain about.. I just leveled through it in a day or two hah.

I'm hopeful for Legion and the return of BC lore.. it's always been my favorite. I must admit, the thought of playing a demon hunter is very exciting.

Yeah my guild had the same problem. We could get a 10 man together but never anymore than that, ands since we were behind on current content no raiders wanted to join our guild to do Magtheridon when they could join a bigger guild and do Black Temple.

I fully agree... BC was my favourite xpac, I love Illidan and that story can't wait to see how the Demon Hunters story plays out.

I just watched some of the demo video on youtube and the demon hunters look amazing. The double jump.. glide.. eye lazers. Just awesome.
