I was curious about how long an eggling will remain ready to hatch before it decides to hatch on its own. I have an egg that will become ready to hatch while I sleep but I was hoping to use a philter on the eggling while it hatches. Can anyone tell me how long of a window I have to use the philter, or would it just be safest to wake up, use the philter, and then go back to bed.

Don't quote me on this because I haven't been on here in a while, but if I recall correctly I believe it's 24 hours.
